Washington (CNN) - In what resembled more a revival than a political rally, conservative talk show host Glenn Beck urged the large crowds at his "Restoring Honor" event Saturday to "turn back to God" and return America to the values on which it was founded.

"Something beyond imagination is happening," he told participants who packed the National Mall in Washington. "America today begins to turn back to God. For too long, this country has wandered in darkness."

The rally drew fire for its timing and location.

People filled the park by the Lincoln Memorial's reflecting pool, in the shadows and echoes of the most pivotal civil rights address in America's history - the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s famous "I Have a Dream" speech, which he delivered there 47 years ago.

Exactly how has America turned away from God, Mr. Beck?

Because we got tired of all the Republican tried-and-failed economic, military and foreign policies that drove our country into a ditch?

Because we elected an intelligent, hard-working man who happens to be Black as President?

Because not everyone thinks like you do?

Beck is nothing more than an egomaniac in love with the sound of his own voice.

And what make you think MLk didnt vote for Kennedy?
Most African Americans Who were allowed to vote were republicans until all of the racist democrates changed parties. remember the dixiecrates they are the southern democrates who were welcome into the republican party with open arms after the voters right act was signed. The same one Beck is against. That the same time that African American switched. It was around 1960ish. Republican were the ones who beat Dr King That would be
Becks party and turned dog and hoses on African Americans in Alabama.
    Not Democrates.
You guy should move to Texas that where the have already rewritten history.

The second great commandment of Jesus Christ:” Love your neighbor as yourself”
I guess Glen Beck and Sarah Palin totally forgot about Jesus words because everything coming out their mouth is: “Hate your neighbor if he looks, think and do things different as you are or do”
C’mom Beck you are an-ego maniac, self righteous, crazy man, that every day treat people who listen and watch you like a bunch of ignorant.. do you really think you are the Messenger of God? How dare you…
Like Jesus said: “Father forgive them because they don’t know what they’re doing”

Beck is a fraud. I've researched many of his rants on Fox GOP TV and almost always find that they are completely false or such a distortion of the truth that any grain of truth is unrecognizable. He's a religious fanatic (and isn't that what we're fighting in the battle with Al Qaeda?) who wants to turn the USA into a Theocracy! He and the Baggers preach the Constitution until it protects someone's right to due process, equal protection, and freedom to make choices that they wouldn't make!

They also don't comprehend the difference between social programs and Socialism; between Capitalism and Communism. They thrive on fear and anger. It's a pathetic sight. And oh yes, please buy gold from his sponsors – what a joke! Fox is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

As long as Racistism & Hate is alive we will not join together as a nation. MLK speech was for ALL the people Blacks, Whites, Asian,Jews,Gentiles, Muslim, Baptist, & Christians. He wanted all of us to join forces to help build a Better America. Are we reaching his dreams? NO! How can we, when we are fighting with each other. Think about we are lierally at War with one another. Hate & Racistism is winning. I truly believe if we can win this war we can accomplish our goals. Who do you think winning this war? HATE & RACISTISM!!! Please prove me wrong.
