Glenn Beck's 'Honor' rally: What you missed

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption =" People flocked to the National Mall and Lincoln Memorial to hear conservative commentator Glenn Beck speak at his ‘Restoring Honor’ rally."](CNN) - Conservative commentator Glenn Beck says his revival-style rally at the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday was about restoring America's honor and returning the country to the values on which it was founded.

Tens of thousands of people showed up for the event, which also featured former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Beck insists the rally was nonpolitical, but the event, which took place on the 47th anniversary of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, and in the same place, was not without controversy.

The five things you missed:

Why don't we low play the number? Why don't you tell them the truth/ In excess of 100 thousand were there.

Glen Beck is a psycho. His behaviour and actions are of someone emotional, reactionary, deceitful and absolutely mad. When did he become the expert on God? This is another bizarre show to round up the crazies. A lady attending the event said ...." we believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus would not have agreed with the redistribution of wealth in the form of Economic stimulus, bank bailouts and welfare"
My question is which Jesus is she talking about ? The Jesus I know helped the poor and sick!!! His word was your fellow men! Be compassionate, kind , emphatetic and generous!

If the number of people who attended the mlk rally were equal, then the liberal media would have reported there were over 1 million people attending. Notice very little litter was left unlike the other rallies.

Glen beck is nothing more than a TV Evangelist screaming about the glory of God while raking in a fortune from the sheep who follow him. This country looks and sounds more and more like Iran every day.

Just some of my questions are: when did we lose this honor he is talking about? How did we lose it? What are his plans on getting it back. We different views of what is considered honorable actions as well gaining or losing honor. Was there anything to explain what he is acutally referring to because this makes little sense.

I do consider this a political rally because there were several well know politicans there like Palin and Bachman. There were people there that were from the so called "Tea party," and that is a political organization. I don't see how it couldn't be anything but political.

Beck is just another of Murdoch's liars that are spreading their opinions as the truth.

Neither Glenn Beck nor Sarah Palin have any honor, thus this show they put on has none. They use their opinions and speculation as fact and blatantly lie on a regular basis. They are attempting to re-write history to match their warped views. They use God and our men and women as political tools.

I know not their hearts, but their rhetoric and actions are evidence to me that they are neither patriots nor Christian, simply opportunists willing to sell all Americans out for power, influence and fortunes.

They have become masters of the "Big Lie" technique of propaganda, which is based on the principle that a lie, if audacious enough and repeated enough times, will be believed by the masses. Joseph Goebbels, would be in awe.

From what I have read/heard I didn't miss a darn thing except time with my family.
We already support the troops. We don't need somebody who sounds/looks like he is back on drugs/alcohol to tell us.
Sorry folks, but 90,000 people is NOT a large crowd in DC. First of all they were not packed like sardines for a real hones to goodness rally. Plenty of lawn chairs (for the old tired crowd) taking up people room.
More people attend a football game on any given Sunday.
Five hundred thousand or a million (like the number two bimbo said) is ridiculous. Check with the Park Police.
Is he really going blind? He is going to miraculously recover because "his" god will cure him in a few years. He IS the second coming after all. This guy is scary and thinks too highly of himself.
LOL 🙂 🙂 cry baby beck and airhead half term governor for president/vp? PLEEEEEEEEEASE! See above story about how people feel about her. He is just a buffoon.

Doesn't sound like I missed much then. I have always supported the troops and I have never left God. Glenn Beck is a fraud.

Honor, Glen Beck? You know it isn't about "honor" or "God". It's about your hate for President Obama. You will never be able to outshine him. From previous tantrums, you think your God is Glen Beck. At least you are not being a hypocrite by doing what you should do – you should apologize to President Obama for lying on him. The Holy Bible said thou shall not lie. That's from the Holy Bible and not glen beck's bible. Greatness comes from within You come from without – I see your hatred but do not feel your heart.

This beck rally is a slap in the face to our civil rights. The fact that beck rallied a bunch of white people on Dr. King speech day at the Lincoln Memorial was nothing more than a referandum on the blacks in this country who has risen above the fray. beck is a fraud a phony.

I didn't miss anything CNN. I stopped going to circuses and freak shows when I was young, I realized how fake they were.

Why is CNN trying to milk the national embarrassment (why doesn't CNN have a Science section)?

True Christians are loving, caring people who have compassion for their fellow men, aid the less fortunate, accept others rights for religion, beliefs, follow the Ten Commandents and unite in times of crisis.
Beck, Palin, Bachman and the republicans support fear, anger, hate and division of our country. They spread propaganda, lies and whatever unethical move it takes for their own personal gains.
True Christians will not allow these frauds to represent them.
They have appointed theirselves as representatives, not the American people.
Is it true expenses to attend the fiasco was paid for by the radicals??

This rally was for the lite-beer - God-Lite crowd. I watched his speech Sat. What struck me was how, in spite of all the talk about God–how, unChristian the message was. There was all this talk about bringing America back to God but nothing about helping the poor, the disenfranchised, those in our country in need. It was all very narcissistic. Bring America back to God for ME. Some in the crowd even ranted about the evil of Welfare. Well, isn't that a requirement to being a good Christian–i.e. to help others and to push the government and any other institution (Church, School etc) to help others? This talk was God-Lite.

If Obama had given the speech Saturday, the crowd would have been estimated to be 5 million!! The Far left and Sharpton followers are scared out of their minds after witnessing this huge crowd!! Go Beck and Fox – make these Liberals crazy knowing they are the minority in their thinking!!!

Not even Beck believes what he is saying much of the time. This whole stunt was simply a career move for him, which successfully bolsters his support from the likes of those who would attend such an event, for years to come.
