Gingrich to return to Iowa next week

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption =" Newt Gingrich is headed back to Iowa."](CNN) - Newt Gingrich is headed back to Iowa.

The former House Speaker and possible 2012 GOP presidential hopeful will take part in four events in the state on Thursday September 9, according to a Gingrich spokesman. Those events include campaigning for Iowa Republican state senate candidates and speaking at a lunch held by the Team Iowa PAC. Tuesday the political action committee, which supports GOP candidates in the state, put out a release highlighting Gingrich's upcoming appearance.

Word of the Gingrich event for the Team Iowa PAC came just a few hours after the Republican Party of Iowa announced that former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin would deliver the keynote address at the party's annual Ronald Reagan dinner on September 17.

According to a Gingrich spokesman, the former House Speaker will also speak to the Iowans for Tax Relief PAC and hold an American Solutions business leader roundtable while in the state on September 9.

The visit to Iowa would be Gingrich's seventh this election cycle. His last appearance in the state, earlier in August, included a stop at the Iowa State Fair, something on the must-do list for anyone serious about running for the White House.

Gingrich has said that any decision on making a bid for the GOP presidential nomination would come next February or March. Until then, he says he's focused on helping Republicans win big this November. In Iowa, the GOP hopes to win back the governor's office and control the state legislature.

I don't know why Newt just won't give it up already. Everyone from his ex-wife to Sen. Coburn is throwing him under the bus. Our memories aren't that short that we've forgotten that you disgraced your office when you were leader Newtster.

Just keep him there. This is another no-brain-celled individual.

Why is it all the less-than-intelligent people are in the GOP? I guess the GOP is for the non-thinking part of the population?

Gee. I wonder if the wife who had cancer and he cheated on will vote for him? No matter who the Repubs run, I'm voting for Obama.

Why does he even bother. He will never escape the horrific gaff equating the building of an community center with a Muslim prayer room 2 blocks and out of sight from the old World Trade Center site – where there is currently such a prayer room and has been since before 9/11, to a swastika at Auchwitz.

He is a soulless evil power junkie. All the world sees it, even the ex-wife he divorced in the middle of her cancer battle to marry the aide who was giving him "Monica's" even while he self-righteously decried Bill Clinton's pecadillo.

Newt, you are a cartoon, a joke – and a sad one at that. Take a dive fool, it's painful to watch you.

If Gingrich would like to travel somewhere for politics, why doesn't he just go straight to Hell? He'll find more of his base there than in Iowa.

First Palin is going to Iowa and now Gingrich is going to Iowa. This sounds like a good time for all smart Iowans to take an out of state trip. Can you imagine having the dumbest politician (Palin) and the most morally bankrupt Politician (Gingrich) in your state at the same time telling you they should be President.

Gingrich wants us to believe that de-regulating business and cutting taxes on the wealthy will create jobs in the United States.

If that were true, then why after 8 years of GW Bush economic policies/30 years of tinkle-down Reaganomics did our (and the world's) economy end up in the toilet?

Newt is one of the most power hungry egomaniacs in the republican party. His loyalty to his family, to his many wife’s and to his country is zero. Everything that he does is to promote his huge ambition to be president.

The 2012 GOP Dream Ticket - Sarah and Newt - neither one of them understand a flip about commitment and both quit their high profile political jobs amidst scandal.

Why did he find another prospect to add to his list of affairs and possible marriage until she gets sick and he will dump her.I thought that the population of IOWA was more intelligent than falling for the SPIEL of this LOW LIFE POLITICIAN.

    Poor Iowa.
They are being victimized by the irresponsible, unethical right wing radicals.
However, being intelligent Mid Westeners, they will not swallow the propaganda, lies, hate, anger and fear these hypocrits spew.
