Gingrich to return to Iowa next week

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption =" Newt Gingrich is headed back to Iowa."](CNN) - Newt Gingrich is headed back to Iowa.

The former House Speaker and possible 2012 GOP presidential hopeful will take part in four events in the state on Thursday September 9, according to a Gingrich spokesman. Those events include campaigning for Iowa Republican state senate candidates and speaking at a lunch held by the Team Iowa PAC. Tuesday the political action committee, which supports GOP candidates in the state, put out a release highlighting Gingrich's upcoming appearance.

Word of the Gingrich event for the Team Iowa PAC came just a few hours after the Republican Party of Iowa announced that former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin would deliver the keynote address at the party's annual Ronald Reagan dinner on September 17.

According to a Gingrich spokesman, the former House Speaker will also speak to the Iowans for Tax Relief PAC and hold an American Solutions business leader roundtable while in the state on September 9.

The visit to Iowa would be Gingrich's seventh this election cycle. His last appearance in the state, earlier in August, included a stop at the Iowa State Fair, something on the must-do list for anyone serious about running for the White House.

Gingrich has said that any decision on making a bid for the GOP presidential nomination would come next February or March. Until then, he says he's focused on helping Republicans win big this November. In Iowa, the GOP hopes to win back the governor's office and control the state legislature.

Good comeback Dutch/Bad Newz, however all ex-wives throw their ex-husbands under the bus.

Newt is exactly what this country needs which is conservative balance.

How anyone can vote for Obama again is beyond comprehension. We tried your "change" and it made the economy worse. Unemployment is ridiculously high after we were promised it would stay at 8%. 8% is even a ridiculously high level and your stimulus package even made the unemployment rate jump higher. When liberals hear that, all they do is blame other people.

Our economy has been run by liberals since 2006. The housing market went to shambels because of Liberal agenda's. Liberals need to fix it or get out! Since you haven't fixed it, it's time to go.

I feel sorry for Gingrich. His public life was hypocritical and that of a prevaricator and apparently so was his private life. Young men have visions and old men have dreams. This old man is out of step and out of touch with reality. I hope for his sake he awakens and is able to fade away quietly and quickly.

Oh yes, the little liberal bed wetters are out in force today. Newt knows more about economics, national defense and national security than dip stick obama and his whole entourage. The only smart person on his team is Mrs Clinton but she is a flaming liberal also. After this liberal administration and congress, I hope she does not plan on becoming President because this group of morons has ruined it for her.

Why is it that the RepubliKlans can field all these demonstrated and proven wacko, corrupt and immoral political characters, and the media rolls over on its back and says nothing, and yet the media will spend weeks, months, attacking Obama for maybe being a closet Muslim, or maybe being born in Kenya, or maybe being a Black Panther sympathizer, and on and on?

Oh never mind. I forgot, Corporate monoliths control the media, they want to destroy America and Obama is standing in their way.

Gingrich is a slug – a revolting, self-serving little worm. Ugh! But he's capable of convincing hard-working union members to vote for corporate thieves. He knows how to scare the masses into voting against policies that help them educate their kids. He's a very skillful snake-oil salesman. Just vote for more tax cuts for the wealthy and it will trickle down to you poor schmucks – sure, Newt, we believe! Deregulate! Trust the corporate thieves to look after your interests! Sure, Newt, we believe!

Whenever I see a reference to Gingrich I am reminded of the joke that was going around when he was essentially fired by his own party as SOTH.

Did you hear about the offer Pepsi made to Gingrich? They offered him a million dollars to drink Coke.

Seriously why would anyone want this failed politician back? Stick to academics Newt, you can do a lot less damage there.

Newt just wants to be in the spotlight. He has about as much chance to be elected as Palin.

Gingrich has been married three times. He first married Jackie Battley, his former high school geometry teacher, when he was 19 years old and she was 26.[55][56] They had two daughters. Gingrich left Battley in the spring of 1980 after having an affair with Marianne Ginther[57][58]. According to Battley, Gingrich visited her later that year while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery to discuss the details of their divorce. Six months after it was final, Gingrich wed Ginther in 1981.[59][60]

Gingrich began an affair with Callista Bisek, who is 23 years his junior, in the mid nineties, which continued during the Congressional investigation of Bill Clinton and the Lewinsky scandal.[61] In 2000, Gingrich married Bisek shortly after his divorce with second wife Ginther was finalized. He and Callista currently live in McLean, Virginia.[62]

A Baptist since graduate school, Gingrich converted to Catholicism, his wife's faith, on March 29, 2009.

If Iowans play their cards right they can have a trifecta; Palin, Gingrich and Palin. All in one state at the same time. Close the door quick, don't let them escape to the rest of the Country.

After his ridiculous "victory mosque" screed I plan on never paying attention to anything this fool says ever again. He wants to put forth a pseudo-historical apocalyptic "clash of civilizations" fantasy he can just go wallow in it with the few remaining neocons and that part of the electorate you can fool all the time no matter how stupid your story.

Newt Gingrich is a highly skilled politician with no moral fiber whatsoever. He will step on anyone to further himself. Just ask his ex-wife who worked to put him through college and then was divorced by Newt while she was in the hospital battling cancer.

    Dr. Newt,

PLEASE RUN! We implore you to run for, and will help you win, the office of the President of the United States of America. Really-don't wait another minute. Also be good if you could bring Ms. Palin, Sr., on board.
