Palin's 'impotent' comments make rounds

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption =" Sarah Palin has set the blogosphere ablaze again."](CNN) - Sarah Palin has managed to set the blogosphere ablaze again, this time after appearing to use sexual metaphors to slam mainstream media reporters who rely on anonymous sources.

"Those who are impotent and limp and gutless and they go on their anonymous - sources that are anonymous - and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references," Palin said in her criticism of the press. "It just slays me because it's so absolutely clear what the state of yellow journalism is today that they would take these anonymous sources as fact."

The comments, made Wednesday on Sean Hannity's radio program, appeared to be fueled by an unflattering Vanity Fair profile out the same day that, relying heavily on unnamed sources, claimed the former Alaska governor had a 'mean temper.'

"When a story is filled with those, we know it's bogus," she also said.

Palin's latest choice of words made the rounds on countless blogs and Twitter feeds Thursday.

"I agree [with] Palin on overuse of unnamed sources, but calling reporters 'impotent' and 'limp'? Did she have to go there?" tweeted Howie Kurtz, a Washington Post media critic and CNN contributor.

What in the world does impotence have to do with being a bad journalist? I'm sure all of the men out there who have been trying to have a baby for a few years without success will love being compared to an unscrupoulous journalist.

I shake my head in disbelief that people will actually vote for this whack-o for president. Dislike Obama's policies all you'd like.. but you don't see him saying things like this on a daily whim. I'm sure many will just think it's "cute & folksy" though.

And, speaking of bad journalism.. where was Palin's critisism of FOX when they started playing a spliced together video to make someone look racist? Oh that's right.. she hopped on the bandwagon and kept pushing the story even after it was debunked.

    Pot – meet Kettle.

It sounds like the journalist touched a nerve with Silly Sarah. Good! I think it's true or else Silly Sarah wouldn't be defending herself in this manner. She is so childish.

It just slays me why any is listening to this self aggrandizing political hack. CNN only posts stories about her to stir the pot.

Isn't it plain and simple? She is mean tempered! It shows up in every thing she says.I figured that out the first time I heard her speak. It dosen't take a genius to realize that! Some people actually like her. Figure that one out. Ask Meghan McCain. She knows how mean spirited she is.

Well, isn't this just too funny! I guess Palin is too young to remember Watergate. All the breakthrough information came from anonymous sources, especially Deep Throat. But I guess it's OK for her to confuse facts and lies, but it better not be the media! What a crock of hoohah this woman is!

"She said penal, he he he" Do these "journalists" realize that impotent does not only have a sexual connotation? The word means powerless – grow up.

I haven't read the Vanity Fair article, but her bad temper and disposition is something that I thought was readily apparent long before this article was written.

What in the HELL did she just say???? She was 'anonymous' before McSame brought her to the lower 48!!!

It would be nice if the PA'IN became more UNanonymous and answer REAL questions from the REAL media instead of Fox News, Facebook and Twitter!!! Maybe then SHE can prove that her answers are VERY potent – with a lot of GUTS and as STRONG as her beliefs that SOMEBODY really cares about her!!

On top of it all – everyone she ENDORSE act just like her!!! Lord please HELP US!!!

ummm....her reaction goes quite far to prove the "limp and gutless" sources correct doesn't it?

To me, Sarah Palin has much in common with Mr. T of the 1980's...not so much in angry disposition, as in the fact that a talentless person rose to fame based on a few interesting qualities, ran out of important things to do and say, was eventually shown for the limited talent they are, will soon fade into obscurity and we will look back and wonder what made her so famous to begin with!

She is the most impressive politician that the US had ever present to the world. Her charm is impressive. She believes what she said and does at she forgot what she did said and did yesterday.
She is been used by many and hate by many people. It seems that she used her family and friends to get what she wants…. A woman with an amazing smile throwing knife.

The only one who's impotent and limp is Palin, cuz she's a self centered moron who has no idea of the facts that our economy needs. Bottom line is, our economy and government both lacked teamwork. The only organization that has a strong sense of teamwork is the United States military. Teamwork through dedication, determination, trust and respect gives birth to Integrity. That's what makes our military strong. Technology only amplifies the integrity. Now that's a fact. What our economy needs is teamwork. How begs the question. Ask the mathematical geniuses. But it takes no genius that both Democratic and Republican parties are in a political war with each other that they're a total embarrassment to our country.

Appears CNN has a negative bias and appears to be leading a smear campaign against Sarah Palin. To allow this Vanity Fair reporter to spout out unfunded facts by Anonymous sources. Where is the ethical news reporting to challenage this reporter on the facts. It is obvious he does not like Ms. Palin and he has made it his crusade to against her. It is obvious that CNN has lost its moral compass.

Yawn. It's so interesting how she alternates from being a "mama grizzly" to being a hapless victim. She has no problem with the media as long as they don't ask her questions that are too challenging for her limited intellect or print anything even remotely critical of her.

When it comes down to it, she's an idiot who couldn't run a shoe-shine stand, let alone hold public office. Fortunately for her, most conservatives are just as dumb as she is and she gets the attention that she so craves.

Judging by her response to the Vanity Fair article I'm guessing everything in that article is true.
