Palin's 'impotent' comments make rounds

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/09/03/art.palin.0903a.gi.jpg caption =" Sarah Palin has set the blogosphere ablaze again."](CNN) - Sarah Palin has managed to set the blogosphere ablaze again, this time after appearing to use sexual metaphors to slam mainstream media reporters who rely on anonymous sources.

"Those who are impotent and limp and gutless and they go on their anonymous - sources that are anonymous - and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references," Palin said in her criticism of the press. "It just slays me because it's so absolutely clear what the state of yellow journalism is today that they would take these anonymous sources as fact."

The comments, made Wednesday on Sean Hannity's radio program, appeared to be fueled by an unflattering Vanity Fair profile out the same day that, relying heavily on unnamed sources, claimed the former Alaska governor had a 'mean temper.'

"When a story is filled with those, we know it's bogus," she also said.

Palin's latest choice of words made the rounds on countless blogs and Twitter feeds Thursday.

"I agree [with] Palin on overuse of unnamed sources, but calling reporters 'impotent' and 'limp'? Did she have to go there?" tweeted Howie Kurtz, a Washington Post media critic and CNN contributor.

So, being the forthright woman that she is, I would assume that she likes reporters better when they have potential and are hard? Are these only male reporters, or, are female reporters included also? So.... in order for me to have a chance with her, I must workout a lot, and I must have the ability to produce "product"? .... OR, is it what it seems.... must I have the ability to provide an adequate sexual scenario? .... I think I must go shower now....

If the article is so 'impotent' and wrong, why does she bother commenting on it? There are many, many people unaware of Vanity Fair who may now pick it up to see what the fuss is about. Who were the sources she quoted when she was calling Obama a terrorist in the campaign? What were her sources about the health care bill...did she actually read it? For someone who supposedly majored in Journalism (a degree that she may not even have) she is fairly limp herself. And if I were commenting firsthand on her, I'd probably want to remain anonymous too, based on some of the true stories out of Alaska of how she takes revenge. You'd have thought she'd be pretty tough skinned after her vast political experience, but she acts like an 8th grader.

May I just reiterate what's been said a million times over....Palin does not represent the majority of women in America. She's a freaking embarrassment. She can't even talk intelligently. Her putting down the media is so hypocritical with her grabbing the spotlight at any opportunity, and now with her attention-grabbing daughter on DWTS. This family is a real piece of work and all of you who are in lock-step with her make me wonder how our country will ever move forward.

Dont fear Sarah Palin. She is so stupid and mean spirited that she will damage herself again and again, and only attract the bottom of the IQ pool and crazy people.

She just called it like it is, Fox, CNN, MSNBC, all of them suck anymore at telling or finding the real truth about a story before blowing their horns.

  6. mean temper?

Wouldn't calling someone out as being impotent and limp on a national radio broadcast classify someone as having a mean temper? She just verified it herself. Just saying.

Seriously !!! This is the person that is tagged to lead our party in the next election ? If this is the case I'll jump ship and become and independant. She is uneducated on world and national news and then blames the lame media. She is really scaring the crap out of what I thought our party meant. I am an conservitve, and lean a bit to the moderate side but come on really. To me it sounds like this woman is fighting a high schoolish fight. GOP please get real and pick Pawlenty or Rommney.

She wants facts! C'mon get real here. Isn't she one of those that were hollering about death panels for grandma and armed IRS Heath Care officers raiding our homes during the health care debate. What color is that?
Can you see your own history from your house??????
And yes, the sexual reference to slam the media is a bit wierd even for Sarah Palin. At least for her public image anyway.

Sarah Palin is now beginning to show her true character. Since she wants and is an influential national poltical figure, she has to learn that their is a 'price tag' and money is NOT part of that equation. Watch, every time an incident or report that is not in her favor, she will only dig herself deeper into that hole. With all the divisiveness she has caused our country since her reappearance, I must admit, she has earned everything she is getting and has coming. 'What goes around, comes around', that old saying comes to mind. With 60 days to go until the election, her timing is perfect. That is, for the Democrats.

Looks like we're seeing the real side of Sarah Palin now! We could count on her to be a calm, diplomatic president, couldn't we?

And in other breaking news, Sarah Palin sneezed today. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

Now we know how Todd feels.

The base will eat that junk up. "Whoo-hoo! Sarah made a penis joke!!"

Caribo Barbie and Lonesome Rhodes (Palin and Beck) are truly two of a kind.

During the 2008 Primary and Election season, I actually found the "Ticker" quite useful. It reported stories from the campaign trail and kept you up to date with each candidate, what they'd said in a given place, etc.

Clearly, they should have folded it up after the elections were over. It's more gossip blog than actual news–just another part of the "edutainment" that 24-hour news has become to try to compete with the other "edutainment" peddlers that are more concerned with grabbing attention through sensationalism, fear mongering, and useless, meaningless gossip stories like this one. Sarah Palin said "impotent!!!" Blogs are talking about it, so it's news! Except... it's not.

Oh gosh! The moose woman has become too much. First she used the word "cojones". Those who understand well the language, can't use this word when kids are around. Now she is using the english word which is understandable to everyone to insult others. She needs to shut up or learn the right words acceptable to people!

So, if you get called mean, you act mean then Sarah? And how about those Christian family values you are exhibiting there, eh?

yellow journalism? Isn't that the basis of all Fox News reporting? Do they have any facts? And if so do they check them or merely put their thoughts and speculations on note cards?

how does she expect to get messages out if she keeps attacking the very ones that can help her? There is more to the media than Fox Network. To reach a wider variety of people to her cause, she has to be able to reach all facets of this population, not just a certain group!
I personally don't know what she is saying – I only hear attacks.

She should talk. This tempermental and vain darling of the right will say anything that will make her a buck. God forbie if she becomes President. This dim witted maniac would mark the end of America as we have known it for 234 years.

She just proved the article right. She went after the reporters with a mean temper and a bad mouth hours after the article was released...she couldn't wait to talk back. I've noticed that anytime anything negative is written or said about this woman, she takes it to the next level and snaps back. Can she not take criticism?

Some of the worst comments about her in that article were NOT anonymous - they came from NAMED sources. Like the fact that a city council member in Wasilla, who worked with her when she was the mayor. said she had no attention span and no understanding of math or accounting.

Sarah Palin has built a career around erroneous facts, and inaccurate sources! Now she blames the exact system that she has fueled since the day she fell onto the scene. She is such a hateful, hypocrite. Anyone can see that.
