Palin's 'impotent' comments make rounds

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/09/03/art.palin.0903a.gi.jpg caption =" Sarah Palin has set the blogosphere ablaze again."](CNN) - Sarah Palin has managed to set the blogosphere ablaze again, this time after appearing to use sexual metaphors to slam mainstream media reporters who rely on anonymous sources.

"Those who are impotent and limp and gutless and they go on their anonymous - sources that are anonymous - and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references," Palin said in her criticism of the press. "It just slays me because it's so absolutely clear what the state of yellow journalism is today that they would take these anonymous sources as fact."

The comments, made Wednesday on Sean Hannity's radio program, appeared to be fueled by an unflattering Vanity Fair profile out the same day that, relying heavily on unnamed sources, claimed the former Alaska governor had a 'mean temper.'

"When a story is filled with those, we know it's bogus," she also said.

Palin's latest choice of words made the rounds on countless blogs and Twitter feeds Thursday.

"I agree [with] Palin on overuse of unnamed sources, but calling reporters 'impotent' and 'limp'? Did she have to go there?" tweeted Howie Kurtz, a Washington Post media critic and CNN contributor.

  1. Disbelief

Palin goes into the "trenches" (gutter) every chance she gets. "cesspool politics" is what she knows best. She is a "limp" excuse for a politicial – or person for that matter. She loves lies, slander, smears, backstabbing, etc, etc – as long as she is dishing it out, but can't take it when she is on the receiving end.....

I agree that overuse of unnamed sources is bad journalism; however, calling reporters 'impotent' and 'limp' is so not lady like. Oops, Is she a lady or Mama Bear?

Her supporters don't care what she says, no matter how offensive or unintelligent. They don't care that she lies. They don't care that she is a walking slogan. They don't care that there is no substance to this person.

She is a mess, always has been. She is a practical joke being replayed on the American people.

But there is a percentage of the population that will always support her. There is a percentage of the population that believes every fable told on Fox News. There is a percentage of people that think Iraw was involved in 9/11 and Bush was a good POTUS. There is a percentage of people that think Beck, Limbaugh, O'Reilley are patriots and that Palin is smart. No matter what, you cannot fix stup.id.

The real question is – how big is that percentage? How dum.b is America really? How many tinfoil hats are there?

Thank God that I live in Canada!

Let's do a little comparison between Obama and Palin.

Obama said the Iraq surge would never work and was adamently opposed to the surge. Palin supported the surge. The surge worked Palin 1, Obama 0.

Obama said that the 862 billion stimulus would create 4 million jobs in 2009, 95% which would be in the private sector. Palin said it would not create the private sector jobs and would make the states more dependent on federal Gov. Palin 2, Obama 0.

Obama said the massive healthcare bill would make health insurance cheaper. Palin said it would not. Palin 3, Obama 0.

On these three major subjects Palin was right, and Obama was not only wrong, but not even close in his projections. Yet Palin is the stupid one and Obama is brilliant? Give me a break.

This ignorant woman's 15 minutes of fame has lingered on MUCH too long! An enlightened or intelligent comment has has never flowed from her lips. It's time for her to do our country a favor and settle back down in Alaska, shoot small helpless animals and raise a few more unwed teen mothers! We know she excels in those fields.

  6. Simple Words

Mrs. Palin succinctly defines the "Tribal Mind": "If you don't agree with me, you're not with me. If you're not with me, you're against me. If you are against me, you're ________ (fill in insult of choice.)"

This is the same primitive thinking that allowed President Bush to declare his election/appointment a "mandate," because the only one's who mattered were the ones who voted for him; everyone else was automatically labeled, "enemy."

Mr. Limbaugh has the same Tribal mindset, revealed in his interview with Jay Leno: "I am not a 'controversial' figure: everyone who listens to me agrees with me!"

There is nothing intrinsically wrong with a Tribal mindset except that–unleavened with courtesy, diplomacy, tolerance or grace–the Tribal Mind leads to Tribal War.

    Always.

Like a said before, she is such a "classy" lady. I am starting to believe every word this reporter has to say. Why in the heck would we believe this woman who took an oath to serve the state of Alaska and then turned her back on it? She is nothing but a hate mongerer, bigot, bad mother and a fake! When will all her followers see through the smoke and mirrors?

Get over it whimp. You want to play with the big boys but you want little boy treatment. Loser big time. Go Home wasilla hillbilly. Your days are numbered as a politician.

It's not hard to believe she has a mean temper, because she is a mean spirited person. By the way, Sarah Palin would not know "facts" if it smacked her in the face. We can all thank John McCain for introducing this loser to the world, he should have been voted out last week for that alone!

Didn't she just prove the point about her alleged "mean temper" with this kind of over-reaction?

Yeah, its better when nameless sources have a cool name like I did.

The article claimed she had a "mean temper" – really wow now that is news! After listening to her rants isn't that pretty obvious. Can not believe this woman still has an audience.

"Those who are impotent and limp and gutless and they go on their anonymous – sources that are anonymous – and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references,"

What the heck is she saying? She just goes round and round. Trying to read her utterances is like pulling teeth yet this person that cannot even express herself in the simplest form is a best seller writer – yeah – I will believe that when pigs fly. Goodness gracious!

Sarah Palin has a "mean temper?" No. Get out. When is this fool going to learn to keep her mouth shut? Oh, that's right, she'd first need to learn how to learn...

Palin almost makes a valid point here, but that she went on Hannity's show, the master of the "unnamed source" shows she's either a hypocrite or stupid.

Well her comments do seem to prove the existance of a mean temper. That woman is an IDIOT.

That is why Sarah should not worry about them. They are impotent to stop her and the freight train that is coming in November. November rain is going to be painfull for MSM and Dumacrats.
