Palin's 'impotent' comments make rounds

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/09/03/art.palin.0903a.gi.jpg caption =" Sarah Palin has set the blogosphere ablaze again."](CNN) - Sarah Palin has managed to set the blogosphere ablaze again, this time after appearing to use sexual metaphors to slam mainstream media reporters who rely on anonymous sources.

"Those who are impotent and limp and gutless and they go on their anonymous - sources that are anonymous - and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references," Palin said in her criticism of the press. "It just slays me because it's so absolutely clear what the state of yellow journalism is today that they would take these anonymous sources as fact."

The comments, made Wednesday on Sean Hannity's radio program, appeared to be fueled by an unflattering Vanity Fair profile out the same day that, relying heavily on unnamed sources, claimed the former Alaska governor had a 'mean temper.'

"When a story is filled with those, we know it's bogus," she also said.

Palin's latest choice of words made the rounds on countless blogs and Twitter feeds Thursday.

"I agree [with] Palin on overuse of unnamed sources, but calling reporters 'impotent' and 'limp'? Did she have to go there?" tweeted Howie Kurtz, a Washington Post media critic and CNN contributor.

Did she not just confirm the statement with her own?

"A stupid person should keep their mouth shut else they will confirm their stupidity"

Actually, there are several definitions of impotent, such as: "Obsolete, Lacking self-restraint.", or "Lacking in power, as to act effectively; helpless". Seems she used the word correctly to me. It's a dead on description of today's journalists.

Sounds like the impotent and limp and gutless struck a nerver. Don't know what she is referring to but I think I need to find out. Sounds like good reading.

How anyone can appear on Fox news and complain about the state of yellow journalism in this country today is a complete mystery to me. Sarah Palin just abhors the truth. Which is probably why she likes Fox news so much. Remember Sarah, when you point a finger at someone else, three fingers are pointing right back at you.

So to take issue with an article that claims she has a foul temper, she shows us she has a foul temper. Who needs unamed sources or Vanity Fair articles. She reveals her true character every time she opens her mouth.

just the way she responded let you know that it is true–she has a mean, get even, temper. She is just like a pit-bull–can't let things go.

SO is Palin then going on the record that she does not have a "mean temper." No she is not. Also, what is about the Fourth Estate, that the founding father's of our country and constitution found it not to be inexplicable to oversee government for the will of the people. Thus holding the govt. in check, and those wanting to run it. Why Does Palin hate the U.S. Constitution?

Wow, tough words from Sarah Palin about "Vanity Fair." Who cares? Calling" Vanity Fair" yellow journalism is pretty accurate. 'Vanity Fair' is 'People' for rich people, Letting her off the hook for using "Vanity Fair' as a proxy for real journalism is what's funny. Maybe Palin considers "Vanity Fair" on par with "The New York Times." Maybe that's why she had trouble with Couric's questions during the campaign. Maybe she really doesn't read anything substantial.

If you refuse to talk to non-Fox News reporters and your "friends" live in utter fear of even being seen near a reporter, this problem is going to go away.

Her response sounds exactly like the woman in the Vanity Fair article.

At least she says what she means! In this case she is absolutely spot on for a vast majority of the MSM. The liberals have mastered the art of using anonymous sources to spread lies about their opponents.

Could the word "impotent" not also mean "without power"? Your bias is showing CNN.

Every time this woman is quoted – I can not understand what she says. It seems to be double speak or gibberish or pig latin. I have never heard a public person massacre the English language as this lady has. The people who idolize her baffle me.

Woman has the spine of a worm. "Oh, stop pickin' on me!" In "Real America" the best way to have people pick on you is to tell them to stop pickin' on you. But then again she resides in some other America.
