Washington (CNN) – A national business advocacy organization singled out 20 Democrats Friday for opposing two major elements of President Obama's policy agenda: health care reform and climate change legislation.
It was a rare shout out for Democrats from a business group, which historically, as an industry, sides with Republican candidates.
"Elections are meant to drive the direction of public policy decisions that don't always break neatly along party lines," Gregory S. Casey, president and CEO of the Business-Industry Political Action Committee said in a statement.

let me advise to Pres. Obama: I think you are acting little slow...you need to act little fast and implement your policies...I admire all your policies...writer is a very highly educated one...listen to writer...God bless you pres. obama....God bless the nation, the USA!!!!
It is rare for A Democrat to have any compassion for a business man. But some can understand that the small independent businessman hires people and makes the economy come alive. The present Administration will never understand that concept.
If you do what is right for the country, party affiliation is meaningless.
Well, big business likes those who give it whatever it wants. Big Insurance does not want to be told it has to treat consumers fairly and it is very afraid of competition in the form of a public option so it will do whatever it can to undermine any healthcare reform. Big business also wants to be able to pollute our environment as much as it wants to. They put short term profits ahead of the long term damage they do with their pollution. They could care less how damaged the enivronment that we leave our grandchildren is, they just want lots of money in their executives pockets now. The Koch brothers, for example, could easily afford to upgrade and add polllution control. They may have to rake in only 95 million net profit for themselves instead of 100 million one year, but they cannot have that. Their greed dictates that the rest of us have to have a polluted environment so they won't have to have a single cent less. It is time Americans stand up to big business and demand to be treated fairly as consumers and have our enivronment protected from those who would destroy it out of greed.
Soooooooooooo...How transparent is this shotout? In an election year when this group praises the Republicans, they are praising the Democrats???? Issued by this group to try to spoil the upcoming election??? This is so transparent.
A lot of these dems only voted against the healthcare legislation only after it was determined that it would pass without their votes.I know that was the way it was with Nye of Va.
They would get my vote! Thanks for doing what's right instead of following Obama/Pelosi/Reid like a lost sheep.
No......no......no.......! just get out of Republican party do not go back to the old way that's Republican G.W.B cause us have no food on the table and no home to live. So, Democratic going to change this nation but it will take time only.
They are not all stupid. Just most.
In another column the repubs jumped all over Alan Grayson with their typical gutter language { without which, they couldn't talk}. I just want to say to one and all the reason ,you land on this man is because"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH"!!!!!!!!!
20 smart democrats....
Never thought I'd see it
Yeah. It's good for business to allow Americans to die needlessly every year for lack of health insurance. Good for business to see them go bankrupt due to medical bills. We're a nation ruled by greed and corporate profits – lucky us.
The single biggest reason for the economy not recovering is Obama's antibusiness agenda.
Hey CNN, can you call this "business group" what it is: a right-wing advocacy group?
20 corporate flunkies that should be kicked out of the Democratic party and put on their RED suits because they are republicans !
Ohh you mean the Democrats in name only. Thanks for nothing
Climate reform.......or the opposition to it, that is, is hardly a good thing to cheer about, for people. May be good for business, but it is very bad for people.
Sooner or later, we have to also face the reality, that we cannot grow the human population much more, without literally signing our own death warrants, as we outstrip the planet's ability to support this number of humans.
We are expected to reach the point-of-no-return, or non-reversible harm to the planet, within 50 yrs. The longer we keep our collective heads-in-the-sand, the more critical our population numbers are going to become.
Businesses against initiatives to clean up our planet and promote healthy communities? Nothing new.
Please continue to pillage, pollute, and profit at will! (The 3 P's of a healthy enterprise!)
There are a few smart democrats in the bunch, kudos to them.
Are these the BLUE DOG democrats???. Hmm, I wonder how much money these businesses gave them to VOTE NO along with the RepubliCAN'Ts!!
Businesses PRAISES anyone who has their interest at heart!!! Well, maybe this would KEEP these guys in office for now because they satisfied their interest. BUT, they will keep doing the same and we look forward to 2016 to vote them out!!!
real DEMOCRATS – STATE your CASE – UNITE the BASE and WIN this RACE in November, 2010 – Yes We Can!!
So we should celebrate pro-business democrats? Why not just vote for republicans then? No thanks, I'll celebrate those that respresent a pro-worker position.
So what this "business" group was doing was simply thanking these 20 Democrats for acting and voting like republicans.....What an absolute joke!
The group is still backing Republicans- at least in theory.
If you are a Democrat and don't back the Democratic policies, you're not really a Democrat.
The difference inthe parties IS those policies!
Tomorrows headline: Business Group Out of Business
Business Advocacy Group= bad for people that are not profiting from the businesses involved.
Anything this group says, just run towards the opposite.
