Obama marks 9/11 anniversary in radio address

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Obama is using his radio address to mark 9/11."](CNN) – President Obama used his weekly radio and Internet address Saturday to mark the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Each year at this time, we renew our resolve against those who perpetrated this barbaric act of terror and who continue to plot against us – for we will never waver in defense of this nation,” Obama said in the address. “We renew our commitment to our troops and all who serve to protect this country, and to their families. But we also renew the true spirit of that day. Not the human capacity for evil, but the human capacity for good. Not the desire to destroy, but the impulse to save.”

Obama, who is marking the anniversary with a visit to the Pentagon, also said, “On this day, we recall that at our darkest moment, we summoned a sense of unity and common purpose. “

“We responded to the worst kind of depravity with the best of our humanity,” he added.

All of this 9/11 remembrance, makes me long for the days when we had true leadership like Bush, Cheney and Giulliani rather than this sniveling, whiny, petulant, inept, incompetent, corrupt, slimy union toady. Enjoy the remaining time of the "summer of prosperity" and remember as your health care insurance renews this fall, we were told that we would not be paying one dime more by this scumbag president the drug addled Democrat liberals and unions stole the election for.

He says this but his whole time in the White House he has sought to divide this country pitting rich against everyone else and playing the race card.

9-11 brought us all together as Americans. Yet, the baggers, birthers, Birchers, haters, liars who make up the republican party are hell bent to tear us apart.

well thank God he's not doing it as a fund raiser charging folks to come out and hear him speak. If President Obama had done what Palin and Beck are going to do they both along with Foxnews would be slamming him left and right.

GWB and company used 9-11 and fear of terrorism as a political tool to justify their attack on Iraq– which had nothing to do with 9-11. Shame on them, and shame on us, the public, for falling for it. I hope that we have learned our lesson not to let politicians fearmonger us into another foolhardy war. But it worked for VietNam and it worked for Bush's war in Iraq. Remember it this time America.

I's so sorry to say that our president Obama hates the US; he told the Arab world this in speeches he made in those countries before he was elected. He said we have done everything wrong for 60 years. He has been trying to "fix" the US by destroying our economy and those who have profitted from their own sweat. He wants to make us just like Kenya and Egypt where females are sexual slaves and nothing else. He wants to make the US a slave to the federal government by destroying rich people and giving their money to non-workers who pledge to love the government in order to get the money without working for it. How the devil was such a monster ever elected to head this country? Talk about irony...!!!

This is a representation of America without a doubt. From a pure investigative standpoint if you believe in statistics, the world believes that Bush/Cheney failed us on almost every indicator, and their links to big oil, and big business played hugely in our attacks on Iraq. If you follow the money to Texas, and Wyoming, they yielded great earnings while the rest of us struggled if we weren't wealthy enough. They used incindeary language, and bullied the rest of the world at a time when we could have really expanded our influence in a non-destructive manner. 9-11 is hallowed ground just as the Lincoln Memorial, and the Lorraine Motel , and you shouldn't have to defend the solemn promise to not defile the memories of our fallen heroes!!!!
