Candidate sends stinky message

New York (CNN) - Whew!! Something stinks! But before you run to take out the trash, check the stack of mail you just carried inside.

A few thousand New York household received an odoriferous gift in the mail from Carl Paladino, the Republican nominee for governor – and it doesn't smell like roses.

Paladino's campaign mailed out garbage-scented fliers declaring "Something Stinks in Albany" and featuring photos of seven New York Democrats whose political careers were marred by scandal.

"It's basically a folder and then when you open it, when the oxygen hits the card the stink starts," Paladino explained to Anderson Cooper on "AC360" Thursday night.

"The longer you keep it open the worse the stink gets. That's our analogy of Albany," he added.

  5. Ahh

The liberals will be all over this, only because the didn't have enough brain cells to come up with it.

Obama and his democratic friends out of N.Y.are working to create the tranformation of America into his "socialist utopia" and needs to be stopped. The folder was a great idea to illustraight how corrupt things are. Pelosi has failed to drain the swamp in Washington and i doubt Paladino will have much sucess in Albany. Most New Yorkers just don't care.At least this guy does, in Pelosi's case she doesn't.

Chances are the stink will adhere to Paladino, since it's his name on the envelope.

  8. sending garbage

I think I'd be more angry with someone who sent me garbage smelling mail, than the message he's trying to get across. Smelly junkmail is more of a prank than a message. If anything, it says the Paladino is capable of sending you garbage whenever he wants. Not a very smart thing to do.

I don't live in New York, but it is one of our great cities in the U.S. This guy is off his rocker. The GOP (who talks about values) sent a guy up who has sent pornographic material through the mail to people. He has sent racially insensative material to people......., but you send this guy up.

2d – what has happened to our mail security? They allowed something that smells that bad to go through the mail???I mean someone could use that stuff and hid something that could actually hurt someone. This is absolutely ridiculous. Politics in general is what stinks, including this guy.

Please pray for us here in NYS if either of these guys gets elected.
    Carl will do…
    Abortion will be illegal.
    Being gay will be illegal.
All welfare people will be interned into concentration camps.

And on the other hand we have Andrew born and raised by the mafia to be President someday.

Wow what great choices we have for Governor of NYS.

I'm glad Paladino won so the rest of the country can see how those who elected him are as nutty as he is.

Very clever, Carl. You have a better chance of being chosen as the winner of the Miss New York Pageant than becoming Governor.

How appropriately fitting: an olfactory reminder that everything coming out of this conservative demagogue's bilious piehole is substanceless garbage. Keep up the good work Paladino...

This proves what type of person Carl PONGadino is because I know if I got something in the mail that SMELLED like garbage – I will be angry with the SENDER!!! But then again, he most likely sent the mails to RepubliCAN'Ts who are used to the smell!!!

DEMOCRATS in NY (and I am a native-NewYorker) – STATE the CASE – UNITE the BASE so we can WIN this RACE in November 2010!!

T'SAH from Virginia – the Liberal – and I approve this message!!

This Paladino guy is a realy nutcase, but he's rich, so between those two characteristics, he's a darling of the teabagging Rethugs, no doubt. I hope Cuomo cleans his clock in November.
