New York (CNNMoney.com) - Elizabeth Warren told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King on Friday that she is eager to begin setting up the nation's first consumer financial protection bureau, but she stopped short of confirming that she will eventually be put in charge of the agency that was her brainchild.

President Obama appointed Warren earlier that day to be a special adviser in charge of building the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that was a key part of the Wall Street reform bill the president signed into law in July.

In an interview with King on CNN, Warren said she wants to start work as soon as possible.

"I want to worry about Monday," she said. "I want to worry about this week and the week after, about getting this thing started."

But Warren could not say where she would be after the agency is up and running in July 2011.

In an interview with King on CNN, Warren said she wants to start work as soon as possible.

Yet another Harvard appointee that Obama had to sneak through. What happened to the President that would "get us?" I thought he, of all people would realize that these University based appointees all live in this college campus bubble with total idealist mentalities and no real world applications. We can't afford to have another person in an important position, when all their experience is based on essays and theories.

It seems like the only reasonable people left in washington are the ones the president selects. Good job and i wish he could run over all the repos and get all his peolpe appointed. Tired of the repos holding everything up and then having the nerve to say he is not following the constitution. When they want to change it to suite them. Vote them out

Some how because these people give the impression that they are smart they will be good for America. This is awful and just another left wing so called Progressive Facists. She is extremely against America and wants nothing more then to bring America and our free Union down. What hole did this idiot come out of – she teach at Harvard another left wing nut hole. So nice when we start taking back America and these people have to crawl back under the rocks they came from. More Obama commies

Another left wing nut, like so many in the Obozo administration getting ready to screw us over to benefit the union bosses, the dope smokers and other leaches on society. She has a "special" realationship with the most corrupt, inept, inefficient president this country has ever had. Anyone want me to go through the whole recitation of Obama lies. I just don't know if there is enough room.

Great addition. Ms. Warren will fight for the little guy and not the big corporations who already have the rethugs and the supreme court in their pockets.

This is excellent news. Now, if the liberal/progressive base will take the time to vote in November and give the Democrats a filibuster proof majority, perhaps she can be successfully nominated to head the agency.

Man looking at this Picture it is obvious the Republican and Tea Party women are far superior in the looks department. I understand you have to have women with brains as well but it looks like the Republicans are doing a lot better getting smart people that look a whole lot better. They also seem to do better getting people with real life experience outside of a class room.

Just another cog in the wheel for the president's agenda to remake America into a socialist utopia. We have now circumvented our consttutional oversight in order to appoint czars and progressives to powerful positions through one man's pen.

Now we have someone on the side of the American people. Isn;t it sad that a side step had to be taken to get Elizabeth Warren to this point. The Party of No tried again to short change the American people..

Just give the woman the job. She's one of the very, very few in DC who is actually concerned about the average American citizen and accounting for American taxpayer's money.

WINDOW DRESSING!! That's all it is. This administration is very good a looking like it is addressing a problem when all it is actually doing is adding additional layers of bureaucracy. If Obama REALLY wanted to make consumers safer, he would go to Massachusetts and campaign AGAINST Barney Frank.
