O’Donnell cancels Sunday show appearances

(CNN) – Surprise GOP Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell has canceled her plans to appear on two national Sunday talk shows.

O’Donnell, the Tea Party-backed candidate who upset the establishment pick in Tuesday’s Delaware primary, had scheduled interviews with Fox News Sunday and CBS’ Face The Nation.

But an O’Donnell campaign spokeswoman told The Associated Press on Saturday that the candidate instead must attend events back in Delaware.

"Tomorrow the priorities are back in Delaware," spokeswoman Diana Banister said. "Those are people who supported her, who were very helpful to her in the campaign, and she feels obligated to be there and thank them."

Banister also told the AP she did not know about O’Donnell’s commitments when she accepted the two networks’ invitations to appear on their shows.

She is in a state of complete panic becasue she knows she has no grasp, NONE, on issues that impact the American People, and she will make a Democrat (donkey!) out of herself.

O'Donnell not being on Sunday morning political chat...she can't run with the big dogs...can the GOP ever be Grand again?...I think this take over will run its course and the common sense, non-hating element will prevail...until then...the Republican Party is basically rubbish

She's hiding, like Angle and Paul. Saying nothing is as bad as lying. We're not going to vote for a "pig in the poke".

Sister Sarah already laid down the law that she ONLY talk to FoxNews so the others, who might ask her tough questions or have her say things that might come back to haunt her are out of luck. Isn't this what this Tea Party bunch does...talk tough to their own crowd but shy away from everyone else? If she only talks to FoxNews though I'm sure they won't have Karl Rove asking the questions.

"Is it the case that in this country you need to be a professional politician to represent the people?!"

We'd like someone who knows what their talking about with some substance. Sold views and ideas. Would you hire a helpdesk technician to fix a server issue?? Or a nurse to perform heart surgery??? I didnt THINK SO!

Remember when politicians were chasing the cameras yelling "look at m, look at me!!" The tea party runs away from the cameras like a crook on Sixty Minutes. "Don't look at me, don't ask me anything!!" I'm surprised they don't also cover their face. The pest they can hope to win this way is a foot race.

How can you say you'll represent "the people" when you can't even handle some candid questions from "the people?"
