Palin calls Obama 'Barack Hussein'

(CNN) - Sarah Palin and John McCain chastised their supporters in 2008 who used the president's full name – Barack Hussein Obama – in a derisive tone.

Now it appears the former Alaska governor did just that.

In an interview with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren Wednesday, Palin said the "lamestream media" is asking more questions about Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell's background than it ever did about "Barack Hussein Obama."

"Funny… that we are learning more about Christine O'Donnell and her college years, her teenage years, and her financial dealings than anybody even bothered to ask about Barack Hussein Obama as a candidate and now as our president," Palin said.

When a Florida sheriff who was introducing then-candidate Palin in 2008 also referred to the Democratic nominee for president as "Barack Hussein Obama," a Palin spokesperson quickly issued a statement condemning the remarks.

"We do not condone this inappropriate rhetoric which distracts from the real questions of judgment, character, and experience that voters will base their decisions on this November," the spokesperson said then.

Of course, referring to the president's full name is on its face not a slur. But critics of the usage have long suggested detractors who use the president's full name are doing so to suggest the president is something other than American.

This is because when she was a candidate she had handlers who recognized disrespect and the need to distance themselves from it. Sarah Palin is now a nasty, disrespectful, self-serving celebrity who is capitalizing big time off of people's anger and the sad state of the economy. The American public has a short memory and is horribly inpatient. We were in a huge hole January, 2009 and because Obama didn't walk in the Oval office and wave his magic wand and make uincorns run down the streets leaving gold on every doorstep the right is rabid. Why is Palin relevant. She is angry because she lost the election and she is going to do everything she can do to punish the man responsible. She has been nasty and vindictive. Why anyone would pay attention to someone who quit their elected position to go around the country spreading hate and discontent, and make a fortune doing it is disgusting.

This woman gets dumber by the minute. Like most Republicans, it's so much easier for her to make lame comments and play the victim than it is to actually come up with some original thoughts and ideas. Then again, most of them are knuckle-dragging idiots who couldn't spell their own names without cue cards, so this is what we get.

She is right, that is his name and we do know more about her and Christine O'Donnell that we do know more about them, than thecorrupt, inept, incompetent, union toady president. Thanks to the ever vigilant liberally biased media, the Democrat liberals were able to steal an election for a man who has become the worst president this country has ever had.

Maybe the lamestream media she has a love / hate relationship should look into Palin's background. We know more about O'donnell as a Senate Candidate than we did about Palin the VP candidate. Give me a break, Obama has been the most vetted US President in our history. Enough of these goofballs already.

  13. What do you expect

Does anyone in their right mind expect any different from this person? All she does is cater to the lowest common denominator in this country. She is what's wrong with our political system at the moment. Let's tell a lie. If we tell it often enough then we will beleive it's the truth. It sickens me that we give her so much press. Stop reporting on her and she will fade away.

This hypocrisy is nothing more than a continuation of her calculated sound bites designed to fire up the racist and xenophobic Republican core, and get them to pay her more money to come speak to them. She is more of a courtesan than a serious candidate at this point.

Barber tried this talking point a week or two ago...completely ignoring that there were two best-selling books written by Obama himself on the market as he ran for POTUS and they thoroughly covered ever single topic that Barber, and now Jabberwocky Barbie, claim nobody has any information about.

Whatever...these people live in a fantasy world and don't care one iota about the facts or the truth. To them, the "truth" is merely what they can get people to believe, not an objective, verifiable reality.

And this is what Sara Palin was doing when she use the President full name. And we all know that no matter how much they said it is not so. Republicans have a bad habit of saying mean things toward people of color to get it out there for their racist base and they walk it back. Just like a lawyer in court, say something they know the judge will straight but it is too late because it is all ready in the jurior mind.

Forget about her snarky name calling. The assertion itself is blatantly not true. Fans of Fox what to believe that he is a sleeper agent of Osama Bin Laden, but the media and Fox News covered every inch of this guys life, from what his relatives in Kenya think of him to every school he went to in every country he lived. What the fans of Fox are upset about is as much as they wanted to make this guy out to be a terrorist, none of it stuck with the vast rational majority. Despite Fox News and a plethora of right biased investigations digging into this guy since the election please name one new piece of true information (not hysterical right wing whispers) that came out on Obama since the election.

Fom the mouth comes the spirit of the heart now I know for sure that the intent of this creature is not in the intrest of mankind but faulty thinking lying lips and a corrupt heart filled with poison. All in favor of such a belief than vote for it, me I'll stick to hanging out with mankind.
