Palin targets 'damned lies'
(CNN) - Sarah Palin announced the launch of a new website Thursday, aimed at defeating twenty incumbent Democrats who voted for President Obama's health care bill and who are running in districts that swung Republican during the 2008 presidential election.
In the announcement on her Facebook page, entitled "Lies, Damned Lies – Obamacare 6 Months Later," the former GOP vice presidential nominee resurrects her claims that "rationing 'death panels'" are included in the health care bill and promotes the new site, which endorses candidates who support the bill's repeal.
Palin is unspecific as to what section of the final bill she refers to as creating 'death panels,' but does link to her original Facebook post which sparked a storm of controversy in 2009. In the post, she stated that the health care bill would create "death panels" that would decide whether people "are worthy of health care."
The claims caused a headache for the Obama administration and propelled outrage among the bill's opponents.
The section which critics of the of the original bill referred to as 'rationing care' and establishing 'death panels' was one which required Medicare to pay doctors for consultations with patients about "advance care planning," such as the drafting of living wills. Those consultations would include "an explanation by the practitioner of the continuum of end-of-life services and supports available, including palliative care and hospice."
In a statement released in 2009, the American Medical Association, which endorsed the bill, said it "would not mandate that patients take advantage of this benefit."
"The new Medicare benefit would allow doctors to be compensated for such consultations every five years, and more frequently if a patient has a life-limiting illness or health status changes," the organization said.
TakeBackThe20, which is funded by Palin's political action committee SarahPAC, features a map of the United States with crosshairs over the targeted districts and a gallery of the conservative candidates 'recommended' by SarahPAC.
This is not the first time Palin has used crosshairs to identify Democrats in districts that voted for John McCain in 2008. Following the health care vote in March, Palin received criticism for using a similar map and tweeting "commonsense conservatives & lovers of America, Don't Retreat, Instead – RELOAD!"

She cares not for public office, she has found a gold mine and will continue to work it as long as it produces. When the intelligent folks of this nation vote this fall and in the future and she finds herself without an audience, she will happily return to Wasilla and spend the rest of her days not working for a living but enjoying the wealth she has amassed by incessantly flapping her jaws and spreading fear. HERE IS THE TRUTH OF WHAT IS IN THE BILL.
Now that President Barack Obama has signed the health care bill into law, a supporter of his has admitted the rationing components in it. The cost/benefit board established over private medicine by the new health care program will be able to impose “more or less binding judgments” refusing care. These judgments will save “a lot of money” in the context of treating the elderly and people with disabilities and terminal illnesses. The panel will prevent treatment that isn't “medically” useful.
You Idiots better wake up and quit you babbling idoacys. Palin is so correct.
I am certain Sarah Palin knows what she is saying is not correct. But she is counting on all those people who will believe anything , simply because they don't like Obama as president. Who really believes that our government will have death panels?? Where were all these people who were around for the last 8 years , hiding with their solutions?? Hint. its the independent advisory panel. It makes mandatory but totally voluntary recommendations regarding end of life care, specifically, how to make end of life care cheaper for the government.

Can anybody tell me what solutions the Far right are proposing to solve the economic problems of this country? All I hear is lower taxes. How does the Tea Party expect to reduce the national debt? Cuttiing taxes? There are only ways you can reduce the national debt , Pay taxes or borrow money from another country(a.k.a CHINA). Nobody likes paying taxes, but having CHINA as a the U.S banker SCARES the "BLANK" out of me. Bureaucrats deciding who gets what kind of health care is what we had with private insruance corporations for decades! Those were already death pannels! And yet no republican ever objected to those! The very reason Medicare had to be implemented is because decades ago private insurance corporations decided to drop old people for costing them too much. If it wasn't for government provided coverage those old people, now hypocritically objecting to government health care, would all have died! Insurance corporations don't cover them! Their bureaucratic pannels have already decided on their death!

Every time I start feeling disappointed in Obama and wondering if we made the right choice electing him, Sarah Palin opens her mouth and reminds me hat we could've had Mrs. "Being a Governor is too haaaaard I quit halfway into my term" Palin a mere ancient heartbeat away from being president and I feel much better about President Obama.
