Democrats may attack Rove in ads

(CNN) - A senior Democratic strategist said Monday that the party could release campaign ads in some targeted congressional districts attacking Karl Rove and his ties to a new conservative group, American Crossroads. Rove, a former senior adviser to President George W. Bush, is helping to lead the new cash-flush group.

Democrats have been testing Rove's popularity, and he "continues to be unpopular with the Democratic base" says the Democratic strategist. The political spots presumably would remind voters that Rove is still a campaign presence for Republicans, particularly given his involvement with what the Democratic strategist calls "a secretly funded corporate campaign."

American Crossroads, which is funding both GOP ads and a get-out-the-vote effort, was created, according to Republicans with knowledge about the group, out of dissatisfaction with the performance of the Republican National Committee among some GOP political elites. Says one senior GOP-er, the organization is "trying to make up for what the RNC hasn't done."

Rove has lately tangled with some Tea Party activists when he publicly criticized Chistine O'Donnell, the GOP Senate nominee in Delaware, as unelectable – endangering GOP chances of taking control of the Senate.

Rove? You're STILL campaigning against George Bush???

I guess democrats can't run on their record since every plank in their platform is incredibly, incredibly unpopular with the American voting populace.

Hmm... socialism is unpopular among Americans... whodathunk?

Don't tell us anything you have done just attack Bush and Rowe. I know why you haven't done anything except spend; spend and more spending with nothing to show for it except to force higher taxes on us.

You know, if Democrats have nothing to hide in their campaign funding war chest, let's have an audit of Obama's 2008 campaign fund chest. Last I remember George Soros is the CEO of, dare I say it, a Corporate conglomerate....

The turd blossom really needs to be called out. It was through his wisdom that we had unfunded tax cuts, no regulations on big business, which led to $4 a gallon gasoline in the summer of 2008.

Rove is going to give the Republicans a "shake down", look for Bush and Cheney to show up next because Rove is their "rabbit". The Republicans summoned Rove for help because they can't figure their way out of a paper bag. Rove et al, know Republicans don't have a snowball chance in 2012 with Palin, Gingrich, Huckabee as their front runners.

The Beckerhead also needs to have something said about him. In my book, "101 Things You Did Not Know About Glenn Beck," number three is that his petite frame allowed him to fit nicely in the lockers at his catholic elementary school.

One day Rove is shockingly telling the truth about the tea cup looney tunes; then after they kick the crap out of the guy that actually might have won Delaware he does a complete 180 degree turn (surprise, surprise) and wants to drink the kool aid so as not to lose his exhalted status with the extremist zealots. Once again he demonstates the amoral traits of a snake, who switches positions like most people change socks, desperate to remain a player! Rather pathetic Karl.

Do donors to these parties expect their money to be spent on attack ads against people not even running for office? So if democrats feel this is fair game do we feel it fair for republicans to run ads against big labor unions, teachers' unions, the SEIU George Soros, and others who seem to back democrats but are also not running for office? Is this the change of tone the democrats promised the country?

Poor Karl, the Dems have never liked him, the Republicans no longer respect his views, the Tea Partiers have no use for him ... it's almost as if some witch has put a bad luck curse on him.

WOW. Attack Karl who is not on the ballot. But, boy howdy, all those Obama socialists are on the ballot and in every state Leg. race, guv race and Congressional race I will be voting against every D. As to Karl, my only comment would be, please Karl go campaign for Christine O in De. and make up for your silliness on that issue.

Karl Rove is the architect of the entire GW Bush presidency. We all should remember that. Everything he touches turns to debt.

Always trying to change the subject.Carl Rowe is not the president.Obama is or president and it is he that was hired to fix the economy.Unemployment is 9.6% and the economy is in the toilet.Carl Rowe is just another talking head. The president has all the power. It was Obama that has sent an additional 60,000 troops to Afghanistan and turned a NATO miision into one led by the U.S.It was Obama that broke his promise to close GITMO.It was OBAMA that said "if you like your healthcare coverage you can keep it, we're not going to change that"And lastly it was Obama that poorly mismanaged the gulf oil disaster.

The republicans like Bachmann the stupid mush mouth, have a nerve saying they will have investigation after investigation of Obama and the Democrats IF (and we all know they won't) steal back into power. When Rove was served with a summons and he failed to respond. If anybody other than Bush and Cheney needed to be investigated Rove was the main one. This guy got away with all the illegal tricks a person could do. If no other person is ever held responsible for the wars and the torture and the ruining of our economy like the Bush administration did, if Rove ends up in jail it will be worth the other getting by. I wish every single solitary day that some evidence could be found on this guy to make him pay and pay and pay. Wouldn't that be love-er-ly.

I think it speaks volumes about how little integrity the GOP has bringing in the man who used 9/11 in ads during the 2004 election for political gain. Nothing like standing on the bodies of dead Americans (who would still be alive if they had been doing the job they were elected to do) asking for votes. GOP, class and integrity all the way.

Ha Ha Ha! Dems are going after a Fox News Contributor to help them in November! This reeks of desperation by the Dems... Sorry Dems, it is the far left liberal agenda and anti business administration that has brought you down. Not a Fox News Contributor... Ha Ha Ha

This is a sign of desperation of democrats. Instead of targeting issues at hand they are thinking about Rove. They just want confusing message to people. They think that people can be fooled twice. No no no. You can run but not hide.
