Sound of Sunday: Most intriguing quotes

(CNN) - Here are some of the most quotable sound bites from the Sunday morning shows:

On the midterm elections:

"This is going to be a wave election, and it's going to be a referendum on the policies, the unpopular policies, coming out of Washington, D.C., during the last year and a half. ... I think we're going to have a good day on November 2, so I don't know how high or how wide that tsunami will be, but I think it will be significant." - Republican Sen. John Cornyn, CNN's "State of the Union"

"When I hear this 'tsunami,' the Republicans have been saying they're going to win the Triple Crown, which means the president's seat in Illinois that was vacated, the vice president's seat in Delaware, and the majority leader in Nevada. They're not going to win any of that Triple Crown. We will be in the majority in the United States Senate on November 3." - Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez, "State of the Union"

  2. Four and The Door

With the Republicans coming into The House and The Senate after next month's vote, they will have a mandate. This will include bringing federal government back to work for the people, not the politicians. This will include the government getting out of the way of business success and growth...the only thing that will reduce unemployment and get our economy back where it needs to be. This will include repealing ObamaCare which is a curse on our health care system and our economy and replacing it with systems that provide full access to health care by eliminating inefficiencies, lowering the cost and improving the quality of health care. And this will include really working across the aisle so that partisan politics do not destroy our ciountry the way they have in the last 18 months.

  3. the real ib

all these liberals are telling lies that republicans want to do away with SS and medicare. republicans are not the ones cutting medicare under the new so called healthcare bill that is already forcing ins. companies to raise rates. This is disgusting and I hope that the republicans take back both houses. I'm one who usually votes a split ticket but not this time. I'm tired of lies from both parties but especially from Obama and his liberal buddies. I know it's Bush's fault.

I agree with Menendez – of course – and I truly think we will hold the house too. I think that because DEMOCRATS unite the last minute and we don't wear our VOTES on our SLEEVES because the POLLS do not allow us too – they rather poll RepubliCAN'Ts.

DEMOCRATS – STATE the CASE and believe in it – UNITE the BASE and mean it – WIN the RACE in November 2010 so the President's agenda could be fulfilled!!

This is T'SAH from Virginia – the Original – and I approve this message!

So Menendez is saying the wholesale corruption, ineptness, incompetence and inefficiency that is the trademark of the Democratic liberal Congress and the slimy administration will continue. Boxer, Rangel and Waters will continue to get away with it and there is no hope, no change and the hardworking taxpayers of the United States were lied to.
