Palin on presidential run

(CNN) - There's further proof that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is considering a presidential run in 2012.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Palin discussed her political ambition at a webcast taping for conservative magazine, Newsmax, on Wednesday.

"I'll run for President if the American people want me to," Palin told the live audience.

But this is not the first time Palin has addressed the issue.

"A reason to run (for president) is if nobody else were to step up with the solutions that are needed to get the economy back on the right track," Palin told Fox News in September.

And in an April interview with "100 Huntley Street," a daily Christian talk show, Palin said she would "pursue" a presidential bid if she decides it's the best way to help everyday people with their challenges.

The new comments come as Palin gears up to campaign with RNC Chairman Michael Steele next week and after a so-far successful season of candidate endorsements for the midterm elections. A new CBS poll out Thursday found that 64 percent of those surveyed thought she would not make an effective president.

Palin and O'Donnell. Great!! What a team!! They'll eliminate Social Security and put hungry seniors out on the street in January, while they both sit in the Oval Office, by the fire, sipping Moose Tea, and smiling stupidly at the Fox News cameras.

I love the comment about socialism in America. Bet you a dime to a dollar the poster will cash his/her social security check and get Medicare at 65. Just because a government provides a service doesn't make it Socialism. Those who are all over Obama's case forget how we got into this economic disaster. Yet, even with complete GOP obstructionism, the economy is growing again. The stock market since he took office is up more than 50% helping restore some of the losses our retirement accounts took under Bush. Job growth is slow, but we are no longer losing hundreds of thousands of jobs a month as we did under Bush (8 million jobs lost). Before the Bush tax cuts, under Clinton, the economy added more than 20 million jobs and we had a budget surplus, a surplus Bush ran into the largest deficit in history. So, yeah. bring on Palin, an ill-informed, narrow minded demagogue to fix the economy. Good luck.

    DELUSIONAL..totally, absolutely, completely, 100%.

Everyone in politics as well as her family and friends could say, "Sarah, you have no chance of winning. Not even Todd is going to vote for you", and she would still run. Delusional...

  10. Can't We All Just Get Along?

OMG - try to imagine this -

    Three presidential debates.
One one side, President Obama - erudite, intelligent, well-informed, well-respected
On the other side, Sarah Palin - pickled-brained moron, dunderheaded nitwit, imbecile who only speaks in word-salad

I can already see the entertainment value as Palin makes an even bigger fool of herself. She completely embarrassed herself during the one and only vice-presidential debate against Joe Biden. Can you imagine how stupid she would look against someone as intelligent and capable as President Obama?

Tina Fey would DEFINITELY have to ask for more money.

Feel that CNN/Mainstream Media? That's Sarah twisting your around her finger to gain coverage. You do realize that we don't need to hear every single insignificant fact of what she does all day? This isn't TMZ...right?

    Earth to Sarah
Your popularity is lower than George W Bush
Take the hint....WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO EVEN THINK OF BEING PRESIDENT.....because you are dumb as a rock
Go make your millions off the uneducated that listen to you......then take your $$ and GO AWAY

Unbelievable!! What is she smoking. She actually believes that she is the solution to what is ill with this country. Dosen't she get it that she and the like is what ails this country. The 5th year Univ of Idaho graduate who was the mayor of no where and the part time governor of a state that barely has a million people who was picked to run for VP by a man who finished next to last in his class at the academy thinks that she is the chosen one to fix America. How about going back to your Russian outpost. That would be a good start to fixing America. And take first knucklhead with you.

FishKitty...good point about her lack of qualifications...she really doesn't have many. However, our current President didn't even have that much experience and he somehow got elected.

  16. 8 Years of having a drunken driver at the wheel put America in the ditch, why would working Americans return the keys to the crowd drinking at the same bar?

"I'll run for President if the American people want me to,"
Whew, out side of about 30% republiklans, polls, consistently show the "Amercan people" are not interested in this grizzly grifter ever getting near the Oval Office, even as a visitor!

  17. "I Want My Country Back" Libs Go Home

You Liberal Dems love to get on here and lamblast Sarah Palin.....but the real question is Why? If she is as ignorant and bad as you say, why are you so worried of her running for anything??? Could it be that you know that Obambi is such a bad President (matter-of-fact, he is the worst President ever....even makes Jimmy Carter look good) that "ANYONE" could run against him and beat him hands down!
    Go Sarah Go!

I'll be rooting for her to win the Republican nomination. It'll be an easy victory for the Dems. Unless Obama's ratings keep dropping, then maybe we can finally get an independent in there and break this 2-party system.

I guess what made her an "economic expert" is spending oil company money in AK for a few years and collecting on her "Fame" form Faux news and others for the past year. She is like a train wreck, something awful, but you have to watch.

She won't run. she had a 22% approval in a CBS poll. She couldn't win a primary let alone a general. republicans like having her as the face of the party but she is totally unelectable so if she is seriously looking at running she is getting some really bad advice.

Like Obama has done anything for this country other than screw it up. At the rate things are going, Palin could very well be a viable candidate for president. I'm not saying she's qualified, or even if she was that I would vote for her, but Obama has already demonstrated that he is a shallow, egotistic, self centered idiot that is also not qualified.

Run, Sarah, run! It will be a public service if she does. By doing so she will expose many of the americans who are stupid enough to believe that she could run this country. The political system needs change, but remember this... the corporations are in charge of us now... they will never allow her to win because it doesn't serve their best interests. Like a cheerleader running for class president, many of her 'friends' may abandon her after all of the hooplah because they know that she's stupid too.
