Texas Democrat fights for survival in GOP hotbed

Waco, Texas (CNN) - The volunteers file into the steamy campaign headquarters wearing bright red Chet Edwards T-shirts. A group of old men pull their "Vets for Chet" hats down tight, waiting for the congressman to fire up the troops.

"I think they might have predicted our demise a little too soon," an energetic Chet Edwards tells the crowd to a round of cheers.

A young volunteer turns to a friend and says he's eager to help the long-term Democratic congressman because, "he needs all the help he can get."

Bill Flores is the better choice for Texas. Edwards does seem to always pull it out but we need some new blood that actaully votes with the will of the constituents.

"Since Nancy Pelosi took over, Edwards votes with her 96 percent of the time," said one Flores campaign advertisement.

Edwards sounds like a Republican in his campaign commercials, criticizing Democrats for passing health care reform and for being too liberal.

So he's a stinking rotten LIAR like Obozo, Reid and Pelosi! TEXAS WAKE UP!!! VOTE THIS LYING FOOL OUT!!! HE"S SCAMMING YOU!!!

I predict there will be a dramatic increase in jobs in DC in late December... for moving companies emptying out democratic congressional offices.

Grayson... you listening? Your 15 minutes were up long ago. Controversial stances and statements may get you some air time... TEMPORARILY... but in the long run will usually get you your walking papers. See ya, you sad excuse. Go fetch some donuts for fat boy Schultz over at MSNBC.

Thanks to all the volunteers who are helping Chet! Way too much questionable money is helping the Koch-TeaParty/GOP.

Come on, Texas, vote for Chet!

this guy is about the biggest FAKE for a Democrat as they come. Pure DINO and if I lived in his area I would vote for the Republican, at least he represents his own party.

The Texas Tea Baggers with their grass roots movement from Communist China has a lot of money to spread their lies. So it will be difficult Chet because he voted against health reform. The baggers are fired up, as they are the true love slaves of billionaires and foreign money.
