American Crossroads to Obama: Keep it coming

(CNN) - President Obama's attacks on Karl Rove and conservative outside organizations could be firing up someone's base: Rove's.

An official with American Crossroads, the conservative third party organization Rove advises, and its affiliate, Crossroads GPS, claimed they received $30,000 in unsolicited online donations this Sunday alone. Crossroads GPS is not legally required to disclose its donors. The official says the contributions were almost all small dollar gifts over the internet accompanied by notes encouraging the group to push back on the president.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Karl Rove refuted attacks from the president and the Democratic National Committee that his group and the chamber of commerce were bending campaign finance laws. That seemed to fire up at least one contributor. A woman who identified herself as a housewife sent in $100 online and wrote, "Great pushback just now on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Rove! I'm sick of the bullying by the Dems- it has gone on too long without fighting back!"

One American Crossroads official expressed some amazement at the uptick in donations – explaining that its unusual because the group hasn't made an online fundraising pitch. The official says "its all incoming".

Steven Law, American Crossroads' President and CEO, says he believes the president's campaign rhetoric is firing up conservatives because "people see it as an abuse of power, which is what they already dislike about the current regime in Washington."

His group went out of its way to tell CNN the $30,000 that came in Sunday was from "all 100% American donors".

That's a reference to allegations that the US Chamber of Commerce has allowed contributions from foreign sources to fund its domestic political efforts – a violation of election law if proven to be true.

Obama has made this an issue on the campaign trail. At a Philadelphia rally Sunday, the president said, "The American people deserve to know who is trying to sway their elections" adding "you don't know...it could even be foreign-owned corporations."

American Crossroads did not supply CNN with a total number of contributions over the weekend.

I would like the president to provide some evidence to support his claim that foreign money may be behind donations to GOP interest groups. Nonetheless, Obama should not worry about firing up the Republican base. The Republican base is already fired up. Obama should make sure that the Democratic base is fired up.

Bullying by the Dems? We had 8 years of bullying and terrorizing by the GOPs. Our rights were taken away. The Constitution was shredded. Our civil liberties were ripped apart. We were told we were aiding terrorists if we said ANYTHING against Herr Bush.

What is this woman on FOX talking about? Oh, yeah, right. It's FAUX news. It's tabloid tv. They have to lie - that's what tabloids do.

Yes, the President is way out of line saying that voters should be informed about who is funding groups that promote political agendas. After all, why would it matter who is funding a group promoting the end of the EPA and that climate change is a myth. It's not like there's anyone who would profit off of those. There's nothing more empowering to a democracy than ignorance.

We progressives "will keep it coming at you", Mr. Rove, just like you kept it coming with your lies, smears and innuendo. It is our goal to "Swift Boat" you into political oblivion where you belong, along with Lee Atwater and Joseph Goebbels.

The Obama campaign for President took money from over seas and else where, so they have no room to talk. Never did they honestly post who sent it. They also took money from Wall Street. It's actions like this by the Democratic Party that turns off Independents. As an Independent, I vote for the one who meets my needs, dosen't matter if their Democrat or Republican.

The DEMS ARE BULLYING????? Wow! what's the psychological term for accusing others of doing what you do? what Obama and the Dems are doing and need to keep doing is shine the disinfecting light of day on these shadowy organizations whose funding is completely anonymous. Obama needs to point out daily how much trouble this country was in under the repubs and how much more trouble we'll be in if we hand it back to them. folks don't need to be excited or enthusiastic to vote in November, they just have to love their country enough to keep it out of the hands of the totally incompetent repubs.

Karl Rove and his special interest groups/U.S. Chamber of Commerce are a cancer to society. If it were up to me, I would charge these fascists with TREASON. They can disclose the names of their donors and let that be that. But they won't! Obviously they have something to hide.

I feel like the viewer who sent in the $100. Sick of being bullied, demeaned, degraded and called names by the Democrat liberals. I get angrier and more determined every time someone calls me a hillbilly , redneck or racist simply because I don't want the stimulus program or Obamacare. Way to go Mr. Rove.

Even though they are hiding the source of the money from the public you can be sure that they won't forget who butters their toast. They will be carrying the water for these "un-named sources" (picture C. Montgomery Burns from the Simpsons) for years to come. We are at a crossroads America and if you let these folks win we will take an historic u-turn back to the days of being trickled down upon. The choice is yours.

Memo to Karl . Are you sure you want to say "bring in on" so soon after the Bush Error?

Sunday's $30,000 in donations were from Americans? How would you know if you don't disclose donors.

Karl Rove is an enemy of the state. I don't support Sharon Angle, but Mr. Rove needs a 2nd Amendment remedy. He's not a politician, he's just a purchaser of politicians.

Rove is the king of sleeze, swiftboating, bending the rules and making a sham out of our political process.
Yet, so called middle of the road media continue to give him, along with the Palins, tea partiers, etc the , majority of the headlines.
It is a disgrace that the American people can no longer trust the media, has to weigh every article and that the
media never checks for facts or truth or fails to push their bias.

Why isn't Karl Rove in jail for all his stunts during the Bush era? He's a treasonous, anti-American snake seeking to help his globalist masters buy elections in America with donations from bashful billionaires and foreign interests. Putting his backers in office would be like hiring a pedophile to run a preschool, or the captain of the Titanic to run your cruise ship. Karl Rove and American Crossroads are deeply out of touch with the average American. Remember, if you liked the ditch they drove America into last time, you're gonna love the canyon they're aiming for now!

And ROVER is proud of that!!! As far as we know – he probably gave crossroads the $30,000 himself to make it seem as if there are actually DONORS – legal DONORS out there that LOVES HIM!!!

This is NOT anything to be proud of. The American people should force these organizations to disclose who their donors are. But OH, a lot will claim it was done in the past by President Obama BUT they had to disclose the donors because it was the law.

So now, who CHANGED that law? The Supreme Court – the RIGHT side of the Supreme Court and it was predicted what would happen as the result!!!

VOTERS should only pay attention to the ADS that the candidates themselves approve!!! The ones they 'approve' most likely did not come from these 'special interest' groups!!!

ROVER lies and Crossroads – this is just a PLOY to make Americans think that President Obama is HATED that much when he makes a reference towards the CROOKS and UNDER-HANDED Criminals run by Fox News – ginGRINCH – ROVER – and PALIN!!!

Americans – WAKE UP and smell the CORRUPTION!!! Democrats – WAKE UP and VOTE!!

This is T'SAH from Virginia and I approve this message!!!
