American Crossroads to Obama: Keep it coming

(CNN) - President Obama's attacks on Karl Rove and conservative outside organizations could be firing up someone's base: Rove's.

An official with American Crossroads, the conservative third party organization Rove advises, and its affiliate, Crossroads GPS, claimed they received $30,000 in unsolicited online donations this Sunday alone. Crossroads GPS is not legally required to disclose its donors. The official says the contributions were almost all small dollar gifts over the internet accompanied by notes encouraging the group to push back on the president.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Karl Rove refuted attacks from the president and the Democratic National Committee that his group and the chamber of commerce were bending campaign finance laws. That seemed to fire up at least one contributor. A woman who identified herself as a housewife sent in $100 online and wrote, "Great pushback just now on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Rove! I'm sick of the bullying by the Dems- it has gone on too long without fighting back!"

One American Crossroads official expressed some amazement at the uptick in donations – explaining that its unusual because the group hasn't made an online fundraising pitch. The official says "its all incoming".

Steven Law, American Crossroads' President and CEO, says he believes the president's campaign rhetoric is firing up conservatives because "people see it as an abuse of power, which is what they already dislike about the current regime in Washington."

His group went out of its way to tell CNN the $30,000 that came in Sunday was from "all 100% American donors".

That's a reference to allegations that the US Chamber of Commerce has allowed contributions from foreign sources to fund its domestic political efforts – a violation of election law if proven to be true.

Obama has made this an issue on the campaign trail. At a Philadelphia rally Sunday, the president said, "The American people deserve to know who is trying to sway their elections" adding "you don't know...it could even be foreign-owned corporations."

American Crossroads did not supply CNN with a total number of contributions over the weekend.

It's time to start a recall petition for this President. He is an absolute disgrace to this great nation.

This guy is one of the most vile faces of the GOP. Yes, the money rolls in, are we surprised? Corporations are likely salivating over the chance to pump more bucks into the GOP so that the GOP could protect them from deregulation. For all of you who think this is a good thing, think back to what got us in this mess in the first place. We Americans are being laughed at by the rest of the world for falling for this crap. Sucker me once.....

Let's name one GOOD thing that Carl Rove has contributed to our country. Let's see there's that campaign thing he did for Bush. Good? Bad? Indifferent? Then there's uuhm. Ahhh.
Just like the Joe Wilson "liar" attack. "Yaaay, Joe. Here's some money for your anti-Obama vitriol. You are contributing to the moving forward of our country! Finally headed in the right direction. The road to no place in particular"

Rove shouldn't be in American politics at all, he should work somewhere with animals where his talk to them wouldn't effect animals like it affects people that around him. After what he and his friends did with this country and to our people by masterminding the biggest failures in modern society, he shouldn't be even near others politicians. He is like a weed that growing stronger and there is no way to weed him out.

Just as predictable as him wearing the classic blue shirt and red tie, Rove is caught once again in a lie. For some, like Rove, there is an insatiable appetite for being seen and heard............it is called ego. It wasn't enough in the Bush years for 'Ol Karl to operate with impunity knowing "W" would cover for the countless violations of law; alas the saga continues. Someone needs to tell Kwick Karl that he won't live forever and needs to start living life without living the big lie.

This lowlife should be wearing an orange jumpsuit. The Presidents biggest mistake was not bringing him to trial for treason and high crimes,he would have ratted out everyone.

Pretty sad, you're reading this hoping I've written something especially supportive of your chosen party of liars and thieves. All you will ever get from either party are crumbs. Bush and Co. spent their time exploiting foreigners. Obama and Co. spend their time exploiting you. Soon you will pay all you can afford for health care you will never receive.

If Rove really knows that it isn't true that there is foreign money coming into Crossroads, then show us the names of the contributors and where they got their money. There could be front people for China, Iran, and other countries that we don't get along well with at the current moment. I don't think that there is a rule for showing citizenship when you make a political contribution.

Propaganda. Rove would like the attacks to stop because the are resonating with the American people. Rove and his cronies are trying to steal our democracy. It's time we stood up and stopped them. Vote for progressive democrats in Novemeber. Let's send the party of no home. Let them experience unemployment. They certainly have heaped it on us.

"all 100% American donors", thats because unlike Obama Crossroads uses software that verify's a donor's credit card address.
Glad to see CNN has yet to put forth the truth that Obama's attacks against the Chamber of commerce are not only smears but highly partisan (as unions like the AFLCIO have the same setup). Who would have thought the NYTimes would be ahead of CNN in regards to hitting the democrats with the truth.

When the Pilgrams came to the New World they came to get rid of Big Government, not re-invent it. Obama and the Liberals are taking the Nation right back to Bondage. Bigger Government, Social Programs are being rejected by the People. It was people getting down to work that made this Country great, not Big Social Programs. Why doesn't Obama get it?

Since when is telling the truth an abuse of power? Rove would not know what truth is and talk about abuse of power! Go back to the Bush years and look into Cheney and his ties to Blackwater and big oil! and the lies about the Iraq war! Look at Rove who is still being looked at for abuse of power in firing Federal judges he diagreed with , l;ook at the Alabama Sigleman debacle! And look into why he did not show for a Congresstional investigation! Just sayin' he is a real creep!

If campagning is an abuse of power , someone should let the GOP know!

The real telling here is where he said it , Fox news plays very loose with the truth, they are the GOP spin doctor news!
