On the ground at the Delaware debate

Ahead of tonight's Delaware Senate debate, supporters lined up for Republican Christine O'Donnell and Democrat Chris Coons. CNN's lead political anchor Wolf Blitzer will co-anchor the debate at 7:30 p.m. ET on CNN.

The tea baggers are full of fail. Anyone who supports the witch after she proved she's unqualified and a liar is as dumb as she is.

allred giving opinion on the DE senate race? What does she know about anything except skanks. Oops, my bad, she was actually trying to give the lying cheating witch pointers.
I liked wolfe until he got under my skin with his stories and panting about the half term governor.

I guess O'Donneel is CNN's new Palin. Why waste national cable television time on this debate. The lady is 19 points down and is as crazy as they come.

What were they thinking? Cassell actually had the leading chance to take this seat from the Dems and give Biden a little smirk, but instead this unqualified wierdo, who shouldn't have even been in the primary, pulls a Russ Perot and takes valuable and meaningful votes away from Cassell, only to ensure that Coons will take this one to the bank. GOP and Tea Party blew this one but good, and overall may have cost the GOP from regaining control of either house. What the heck were they thinking? Any more time wasted here on her, is just a waste of energy since she doesn't have a chance in hates.

Opening remarks: Coons talks to the people. O'Donnell reads a script too fast.
First question: Exactly the same. Talking to people vs. reading talking points.
Let's see if the pattern keeps up.

This woman is just another version of Palin – looks but no substance.
This is not a prom dance and she's not the homecoming queen in the waiting.
This is a serious time in the life of our country and we need someone who can confront issues head-on rather than trying to win us over with a smile.

GO CHRISTINE O'DONNELL!!! I am tired with these Democrats, Obamacare, the stimulus, the bailouts, abortion, opression of my rights, and their forgetfulness of the laws they learned in college!!! GO GOP!!!

Checked the U.S. Dept. of Labor website and the statistics O'Donnell just gave for unemployment in Delaware. Her numbers are not accurate at all – unemployment numbers down from a year ago by the looks of the Dept. of Labor statistics and charts – also most recent month is August 2010 – no numbers for September and October – how is she interpreting the data??

Why did Mrs. O'Donnell just elaborate on "wasteful spending" when Wolf Blitzer clearly stated NOT to use that in her ideas of what specifically to cut when it comes to the deficit?

I hope someone washed out O'Donnell's coffee mug. It still has the sticker on the bottom.

Really?!? They stopped coverage of the rescue of the miners to show a Delaware debate?!?! That is extremely disappointing CNN.

I am so disappointed in CNN that this god awful woman is given priority over the miners on tv. Who cares what that woman has to say when more important things are happening. The miners represent hope and unbelievable teamwork whereas this woman represents greed, stupidity, and ignorance. Shame on you CNN.

Wow. Christine O'Donnell looks like a rank amateur next to Coons. Why? Because she is. She also is showing an incredible lack of decorum. Using the word "croneyism" incorrectly seems typical of her political ineptitude.

I'm predicting she will lose the November election by 30 percentage points. And her PR and communications teams are not helping her, they are hurting her even more (if that is possible).

Having served in the war in Iraq, I ask Mrs. O'Donnell to go serve on the frontline, given her position on the war in Afghanistan.

If Christine doesn't want her "witchy" past to be brought up because it was a "decade and a half ago".... why did she lead a political announcement with "I am not a Witch" As I heard earlier.... is she a good witch or a bad witch?

This woman is NOT ready for prime time unless it is SNL. She has no idea what she is talking about. It's pretty scary. Another Sarah Palin.

If you were Steven King, you couldn't write this woman as a character. It is absolutely ridiculous that she's even in a debate. She's an empty shirt who has clearly been prepped and prepped and prepped by some poor team who knows that she's an unqualified idiot, but they need a paycheck so they prep and prep and prep her. Christine O'Donnell – if you're reading this, GO AWAY! You're an IDIOT!!

I would ask Wolf why he is giving this closed minded ""lady". If she gets elected it will be because the Mainstream mkedia gave this kook so much free air time under thed guise of ""news"

What makes this kook news. You keep giving her air time, basically begging hner to give you interviews. Until she gives all of you air time that she gives fox, cut her off.

I had to turn-OFF the Debate!!!!! I was SHOUTING at Wolf Bltitzer SAY"ANSWER THE QUESTION MS. O'DONNELL" OR when she would laugh at Coons, Wolf ASK "WHAT'S SO FUNNY????!" I am a registered Independent, who watched AMAZED at HOW POORLY Ms. O'Donnell did! ALL she had was the GOP-TeaParty "talking points" the little "got-ya" jabs!

Gee, they cut into this highly publicized debate to cut to the miner rescue (not that this event isn't important, but waiting several minutes as the capsule comes up and several minutes afterwards and then going to commercials??)..wondering if this is because Ms. O'Donnell was holding her own in the den of lions? Was this was a convenient escape route in case their candidate couldn't win the debate, even with the help of the liberal media on his side?

I certainly hope the candidates will be asked about environmental issues such as global warming. Yes jobs are important, but if we don't have a livable earth we sure won't need jobs...
