Farmington, Missouri (CNN) - Democrat Tommy Sowers is an underdog in his election fight against seven-term Rep. Jo Ann Emerson in Missouri's 8th Congressional District, a sprawling, heavily-Republican territory in the southern part of the state.
He's also a veteran of Green Berets, and in a time when questions about jobs and the economy are consuming the political dialogue, Sowers is calling for an end to the conflict in Afghanistan and making the war a central plank of his campaign.
It does not matter what you are campaigning on – made up or imaginary!! What you SHOULD be campaigning on are the accomplishments made by THIS administration in the past TWO YEARS!!! This is why you are LOSING!!!
DEMOCRATS in these RED DISTRICTS should not even be counted!!! It was President Obama that got them elected in 2008 and now they want to SWING to the RIGHT hoping the RIGHT will accept them – they're NOT!!!
This is T'SAH and I approve this message!!
No one wants war, with anybody. As a bonafide member of the armed forces I would suggest that you remind your electorate of the thousands of uniformed and civilian lives lost to both countries when we were duped into attacking Iraq by Bush under the guise of searchig for non-existent WMDs. And while you're at it sir, remind them of the trillions of dollars that that Bush follly cost us as a nation that was already on it's way to being financially crippled by other factors that were being conveniently and stupidly neglected at home.
Remind them of that sir. All current factors point to the fact that we Americans have short term memories to go along with our need for instantaneous gratification.
