(CNN) - Sarah Palin made a surprise appearance at a Tea Party Express rally in Arizona Friday.
The former Alaska Governor spoke for a couple of minutes with her son Trig on her hip.
Using lines from her standard stump speech, Palin told the crowd, "we can see Nov. 2 from our house" and urged the crowd to elect common-sense conservatives.
The rally was the Tea Party Express's latest stop on their national bus tour.
comment on NPR if huckabee and demitt can ask congress to stop funding public radio is that not like the government taking ove. I thought they wanted less government control.?? What a waste of the tax payers time to debate this. If they have a problem with this go take a look at fox.
I like how Palin is holding her kid while doing this speech...talk about using your child as a prop! Why, oh why, does anyone care what she has to say?
Great looking crowd. It looks like they just staggered out from their double-wides. How's that trickle-down workin' fer ya?
Just gets to be more of a laugh each time she says the same warn out lines. What a complete fool!
The Tour de idiot!
It's simple,if you like your boss working less than you but living better than you, then vote republican,
John King asked Jeb Bush if he would endorse Gov. Palin if she ran for President. Only Sarah Palin get these totally sexist questions.
All I see are angry, old, militant – looking folks of the same race. Go figure.
It looks like a bunch of nuts are in the background.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but I get the impression that Governor Palin is exploiting her children – and her one child's private medical condition – for political gain.
Raese is a rich outsider and carpetbagger who has come to West Virginia to take advantage of misplaced blame put on the hardworking Joe Manchin for the economic downturn facing the whole country. Joe Manchin is West Virginia, and understands the needs of the citizens as well as the interests of Big Coal. Joe Manchin is respected in Washington, he can get things done because of that respect, but he definitely isn't owned by Washington. Joe Manchin deserves to fill the late, great Senator Byrd's seat in the Senate, he has been a great and honorable governor. West Virginia needs to examine the facts and vote for the man, not the party.
It's nice that Trig got to see his mother again. Too bad it was only as a campaign prop.
Sad that the child has become her Teaparty prop.
I have had a career of working with people that have limited abilities it makes me sick everytime I see Sarah Palin propping her disabled child up for photo ops. Anyone in this field knows that it is not fair to use a child with down syndrome and thrush them into a crowd for the sole purpose of phot ops. There is nothing wrong with bringing your child to a function but it is stressful for this child to be used in front of a crowd for no good reason other then a parent trying to look good.I really feel sorry for this little guy that would be best served if he were in a stable enviroment where he has a routine and familiar surroundings every single day. I hope Sarah can find it in herself to do the right thing for this child and leave him out of the limelight and let him be a child
Well I see she has brought out her special needs child for publicity again. You never see him other than when she wants to make a few new headlines and that is shameful. I doubt if the baby hardly knows her because she is never home with him.
'Palin (...) urged the crowd to elect common-sense conservatives.'
Wasn't she supposed to say that they should vote for Tea Party backed candidates?
And what was she doing with her son up there? Was he on stage for the whole duration of her speech? If yes, then for how long did she subjected him to that?
Depictable.
She uses her baby as a political aid - yikes. I hate when any politician does this.
Irrelevant yesterday, irrelevant today, irrelevant tomorrow..............Sarah Palin in a nutshell..............NEXT!!!
Wonder how much she was paid for her surprise visit. Same old song and dance. Same old lines. The AZ Central blogs here are all a buzz with comments, mostly negative I'm happy to say. I think folks are finally getting tired of this one hit wonder of the Tea Party crowd.
"common-sense conservative" - from her house, this is an oxymoron
It's really transparent how she is using Trig. What a crime.
Take a good look at the stage, then the crowd. The stage is adorned with a shamless opportunist, holding a child, trying to get votes with said child as a stage prop, and the crowd consists of bigots who believe white makes right. I sure as hell dont see many people of color cheering on the rogue grizzly. And, if she ever makes contact with a real grizzly, I'll be rooting for the bear.
Three consecutive stories on one of the most useless, self-important, self-serving dingbats in American politics. Does Palin pay CNN a kickback for all the publicity?
Half Gov. Palin is such a fraud, even using her son as a prop. This woman has no values or ideals or knowledge for that matter. Just catch lines and lies.
Vote NO in NOvember to the party of NO.
The only surprise about this is that she actually had her son with her. Nanny's day off?
