(CNN) - Tom Tancredo's third party bid for Colorado governor is getting a big endorsement from a leading member of the Tea Party movement.
The chairman of the Tea Party Express, one of the most well-known and politically active national Tea Party organizations, on Monday endorsed Tancredo.
"Tom Tancredo has always been there for the constitutional conservative principles that drive the tea party movement, and I am honored to support him," said Amy Kremer, in a statement.

Washington (CNN) - The White House says Vice President Joe Biden will hit a major milestone Monday afternoon.
Biden is scheduled to headline a campaign event in Nashua, New Hampshire for Democratic congressional candidate Ann McLane. The White House, in a release, says the event will be the vice president's 100th for Democratic candidates this midterm cycle.

(CNN) – National Senate Democrats are trying their best to put a positive spin on the political climate one week ahead of the midterm elections, releasing a memo Monday suggesting their party has the early-voting edge in a string of key races.
"Now that voters are casting ballots we can see our work has been effective," wrote Sen. Robert Menendez, chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. The DSCC is charged with maintaining the party's majority in the upper chamber.

(CNN) - Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a write-in candidate to keep her job in Washington, slammed her competitors for the state's Senate seat as unqualified in a televised debate from Anchorage Sunday.
Murkowski is locked in a tight race with Joe Miller, the GOP nominee who defeated her in the Republican primary, and Sitka Mayor Scott McAdams, the Democratic Party's candidate.
"Scott is not ready to lead. Joe is not fit to lead," Murkowski said to groans and jeers from the audience.

BLAINE, Minnesota (CNN) - Former President Bill Clinton told a Minnesota crowd Sunday night that Republican and Tea Party favorite Rep. Michele Bachmann and the party she belongs to is so extreme that even prominent Republicans in history, if they were around today, would be voting for her opponent in this election cycle.
"Every Republican leader from Theodore Roosevelt to Dwight Eisenhower would be voting for [Democrat Tarryl Clark] in this election," Clinton said to cheers from a crowd at a local labor union. "Her opponent and that crowd in Washington make Richard Nixon look like a member of Students for a Democratic Society. They make Newt Gingrich and George Bush look like garden variety liberals."

(CNN) - Democrat Alex Sink will debate Republican Rick Scott on Monday, setting up a nationally televised showdown between the two Florida governor hopefuls on CNN.
The debate, co-sponsored by CNN, the St. Petersburg Times and the University of South Florida will be moderated by CNN Chief National Correspondent John King. It will air live at 7 p.m. ET during a special edition of "John King, USA."
