Poll suggests, Dems pull ahead in California

(CNN) - Tuesday yielded good news for Democrats in California with a new poll that shows the nominees for Governor and Senator leading their Republican opponents.

In the Suffolk University poll, attorney general and former Gov. Jerry Brown leads former eBay CEO Meg Whitman by 8 percentage points, 50 percent to 42 percent among likely voters. Five percent supported the third party candidates in the race.

Incumbent Sen. Barbara Boxer leads former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina by 9 percentage points in the same poll, 52 percent to 43 percent. Four percent supported the third party candidates in the race.

An L.A. Times/USC poll released Sunday, showed Boxer leading Fiorina by 8 percentage points, 50 percent to 42 percent.

The sampling error for the Suffolk survey is plus or minus 4 percentage points.

Both races have been a war of words and ads, but the new numbers suggest a Democratic tilt.

The winner of the race for governor will replace Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sen. Boxer is fighting for her 4th term in the Senate.

Meg Whitman needs to know the California Legislature is not Ebay. As CEO of Ebay, she was the alpha dog. What she said goes or you're looking for a new job. As Governor, she can't do that. She won't get much done with a Democratic legislature. On the other hand, with a Democratic governor and leslature, we may start to lean too far to the left. In California, it's a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils.

I just love that ad were Fiorina states how proud she is for having sent 30,000 jobs overseas. Isn't it wonderful? Hewlett Packard can built computers for pennies in China instead of paying American workers a living wage. Love that big business mindset!

Unfortunately, Californians mostly vote liberal so they doom themselves to more debt and more joblessness. I don't feel sorry for a state that continues to vote in the type of people who got them to this pathetic state in the first place with their left wing liberal policies. If you want to be mired in the mud and muck, continue to vote liberal. If you want to start experiencing growth again, then vote for the other guy. Plain and simple. Must be too simple for "progressives" to understand. And they say conservatives are dumb.

Gee, I wonder what the polls would say if "they" included unlikely voters?? You do know who those unlikely voters are, don't you? Young people, black people, brown people..... It's like these folks don't even matter to the pollsters because, well, these folks are "unlikely voters". Flex your muscles "unlikely voters"!
