Crist says White House was involved

(CNN) - In an appearance on Fox news Thursday night Republican-turned-independent Senate candidate, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist said he spoke with Rep. Kendrick Meek and "several people" at the White House about having Meek step out of the race.

Crist would not specify to whom he spoke at the White House, but he did say he spoke to Meek about the possible shift and that Meek was "considering it."

Crist confirmed that he spoke with Doug Band, a counselor to former President Clinton, who Crist said acted as an intermediary, relaying information about whether or not Meek would end his Senate bid.

  2. not this time

Title is incorrect. It was not the White House. Crist said, President Clinton's camp contacted him multiple times.

  3. You Lie!

    Charlie Crist, YOU LIE!

Don't trust this career Republican. He is an Independent In Name Only (IINO)!

Support Kendrick Meek all the way! The only Democrat in the race, the only one who truly cares about the Middle Class, and the only one with any sort of integrity.

    Vote Meek on Nov 2!

It's obvious the White House saw the vote being split and thought getting rid of the less popular candidate would increase their chances.

Well the devil you know is better than the one you don't. I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'd much rather see Crist win than Rubio....Rubio winning is "INCONTHEVABLE!"

  8. Not fooled

This rumor has been going around for a while. Of course Christ would want Meek to drop out so he could win. Meek said he won't so end of story.

Who was it in the white house, Crist? Probably Emmanuel... they can throw him under the bus now. How anyone can support this administration with all of the overt corruption is beyond me.
