Murkowsi 'shameful,' Palin says at rally for Miller

(CNN) – Amid polls showing a neck-and-neck Senate race in Alaska, Sarah Palin offered a hearty endorsement of Republican nominee Joe Miller Thursday night and called incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski's actions "shameful."

"Let's call her the candidate for the entitlement party," Palin proclaimed of Murkowski at the evening rally with Miller at her side. "She can't really find a party. Not independent, not Republican."

Palin's endorsement of the once little-known Miller is credited with helping fuel his surprise victory over Murkowski in the August primary with 51 percent of the vote. Murkowski conceded her party's nomination, but later launched a general election write-in candidacy.

There has long been no love lost between Palin and Murkowski, a fact that was on clear display Thursday as the former Alaska governor took aim at the incumbent senator's campaign tactics.

"The opponent would rather waste the voters time by throwing this mud at Joe!" said Palin, visibly appearing angry. "And this campaign that is throwing this mud is being run by a lot of beltway lobbyists."

Palin also sharply criticized Murkowski's actions in the latest debate between the candidates.

"I find it shameful ... this establishment party politician, shamefully used Joe Miller's honorable military service as a means to attack him," said Palin.

During the contentious debate earlier this week, Murkowski asked Miller, "What would your instructors, what would your classmates at West Point say about how well you have lived up to your code of honor?"

But at the rally Thursday night, Palin indicted the "lame-stream media" for not fully conveying Miller's record of military service.

"I read his resumé, I read his accomplishments, I read his passion for America and I think, 'Are we even fit to tie his combat boots?'" she asked.

You are not getting the truth from the left, and you are not getting the truth from the lame-stream media about the real Joe Miller," she added, noting Miller served in the Gulf War and was awarded a Bronze Star.

A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows a deadlocked race between Murkowski and Miller among likely voters at 37 percent. Sitka Mayor Scott McAdams, the Democrats' nominee trails with 28 percent.

Shame on YOU, $arah Palin! Joe Miller and his band of thugs are a DISGRACE to our military. I think Senator Murkowski's question was totally legitimate, given that :

    – Miller doesn't believe in the First Amendment right of freedom of the press

    – Miller whines and complains when voters want to know about his past employment record

    – Miller has taken government benefits, but wants to deny them to others.

Maybe that's why you like him so much, Palin: You are BOTH a couple of lying mooches!

"You are not getting the truth from the left, and you are not getting the truth from the lame-stream media about the real Joe Miller..." Well, Mrs. Palin – I would like to point out that the "left" IS being truthful – in fact, with Murkowski doing much of the legwork of bashing Miller...us on the "left" are simply sitting back and enjoying the implosion! Murkowski, after all, is a REPUBLICANT!! Nothing like calling out those who have nothing to do with this debacle. And further – "lame-stream media"...you mean the ones you pander to on a DAILY basis?

I guess Sarah doesn't remember all the contemptable things she said about Obama during her VP campaign run. I guess it was ok then for the Lame stream media to not hold her accountable. She uses the media for her own selfish purposes and than bashes the same media when they don't do her bidding. Why does anyone give this two bit snake oil salesman any credibility? Palin is upset because Murkowski will split the vote and miller will probably lose.

"I read his resumé, I read his accomplishments, I read his passion for America and I think, 'Are we even fit to tie his combat boots?'" she asked."

It would be the first time she has actually read something to prepare for a campaign event.

And we care what the "Quiter from Wasiller" has to say about anything? Come on CNN, when are you going to stop catering to this dense, lying, bigot? Read your own polls for god's sake - most of the country thinks this lame-brained, sleeping-with-separatiist, cow is not worth the money you put out to print her twisted verbage. if you want to do us all a service, quit putting her every word on your website like she quit her previous elected posts (yes, there's been more than one).

Right, Sarah – and you should know "shameful" since that's precisely what you are! Also, you're a disgusting hate-monger, fear-monger, inciteful angry mean-spirited lying freak, also, with a screechy whiney voice that sends chills up a human's spine, also.

Yes! Shame on the "lame-stream media" for expecting Joe to be forward and truthful about his record! In fact, shame on the American people and Alaska citizens for demanding the same! Shame on everyone who doesn't conform to my standards of extreme right-wing conservatism! Whoops! I mean... Did I say that? SIlly me, must be the "average American" in me...

Please dear lord if you hear this prayer, please please please direct Sarah Palin to seek office in 2012. Please god if you hear me allow this to happen. For it will assure President Obama of four more years. Can you see Palin in the debates? OMG it would be just too funny. I doubt she would get out of the Republican primary debates (the national press will go after her with TOUGH questions this time) not softball questions like Katie Couric asked her two years ago. If the Republican party has any hope of taking back the White House it needs to move to the middle and embrace 21st century ideas not hold on to ideas from 200 years ago. Why is it everytime I see Palin or one of the Tea Party dead heads I think of the movie "The Village".

Here I thought that the "Quiter Palin" was against a 2 party system! She didn't want to actually be associated with a "Main-Stream" party per-say?
Unless it works towards her agenda of filling the ranks of government with every wacko nimrod who thinks they can govern!
She failed miserbly ... was in over her head ... had no idea what she was doing ....
So wouldn't her endorsement bring us more of the same???

The tea potty is NOT a beltway lobbying group? I don't know where their office is but their railroading of the Republican/Conservative agenda is "shameful" back-room politics. Fear Mongers! If Palin couldn't get on a ticket, I bet she'd do a palm write-in faster than you can shoot a wolf from a helicopter. Remember the document you potty people revere so highly? (as do I). It allows for more than two parties in an election. Maybe it's the document you reverse so highly...

Alaskans despise Palin even more than the lower 48 since she obvioulsy gets covered more there. Hopefully, this will work towards Murkowski's advantage on Tuesday.

truth hurts, doesn't it, Sarah? the mud they're throwing is the mud that Joe created when he used the borough's computers and then had the audacity to lie about it. you Tea Partiers think you can say and do anything you want and there's no accountability. you're going to find out, no matter how many of you win or lose on Tuesday, that you'll have to face more than the voters after the election. you'll have to face up to the illegal activities in your campaigns and the ever watchful eyes of the liberal media that you despise, and American citizens like me, who will be in the media and in the courts calling for you and your ilk to be investigated and indicted, and thrown out of office if necessary. The despicable people are you, Sarah, and your Tea Party of Lies.
