Murkowsi 'shameful,' Palin says at rally for Miller

(CNN) – Amid polls showing a neck-and-neck Senate race in Alaska, Sarah Palin offered a hearty endorsement of Republican nominee Joe Miller Thursday night and called incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski's actions "shameful."

"Let's call her the candidate for the entitlement party," Palin proclaimed of Murkowski at the evening rally with Miller at her side. "She can't really find a party. Not independent, not Republican."

Palin's endorsement of the once little-known Miller is credited with helping fuel his surprise victory over Murkowski in the August primary with 51 percent of the vote. Murkowski conceded her party's nomination, but later launched a general election write-in candidacy.

There has long been no love lost between Palin and Murkowski, a fact that was on clear display Thursday as the former Alaska governor took aim at the incumbent senator's campaign tactics.

"The opponent would rather waste the voters time by throwing this mud at Joe!" said Palin, visibly appearing angry. "And this campaign that is throwing this mud is being run by a lot of beltway lobbyists."

Palin also sharply criticized Murkowski's actions in the latest debate between the candidates.

"I find it shameful ... this establishment party politician, shamefully used Joe Miller's honorable military service as a means to attack him," said Palin.

During the contentious debate earlier this week, Murkowski asked Miller, "What would your instructors, what would your classmates at West Point say about how well you have lived up to your code of honor?"

But at the rally Thursday night, Palin indicted the "lame-stream media" for not fully conveying Miller's record of military service.

"I read his resumé, I read his accomplishments, I read his passion for America and I think, 'Are we even fit to tie his combat boots?'" she asked.

You are not getting the truth from the left, and you are not getting the truth from the lame-stream media about the real Joe Miller," she added, noting Miller served in the Gulf War and was awarded a Bronze Star.

A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows a deadlocked race between Murkowski and Miller among likely voters at 37 percent. Sitka Mayor Scott McAdams, the Democrats' nominee trails with 28 percent.

I'm a military veteran of the 1st Gulf War – Bronze Star's were given left and right. If you were an officer and didn't get in trouble, you got a bronze star. I love the people in our military. But just like in ANY organization, politics are involved. While I'm not saying Mr. Miller didn't do anything, but just receiving the award really doesn't show a true picutre. Plus, what has the media said about his military record? There's be NO negative reporting about his record. To me Ms. Murkowski question is a valid one. He served honorably in the military (she doesn't dispute that fact). But she asks, how is actions in his scandal would make the people he served with feel??

Lastly, who in the hell is she to call someone"shameful". SHE is the one who QUIT on the state of Alaska. Most (not all) of the ethics allegations against her were proven to be unfounded, but yet she still quite to go and make money on a book. She's the shameful one. Ms. Murkowski DIDN'T quit on her state. BTW – she's tied in the polls with Miller. So a good number of people still support her vs. Miller. If Palin was so confident in Miller, why does she have to do this? She worried about herself. Should Miller lose, then what power will she have......................

I love the way Palin and the Tea extremists pretend they are political outsiders, that they hate Washington so they wan to become Washington.

Anger is not a political tool. Neither is always blaming someone else. Those things worked for Palin for a little while, but people are wising up. Joe Miller isn't the honest, open guy he claimed to be, and it's time he and he alone took responsibility for it. The people deserve to know what they may be electing into office – Palin's shrill say-so just is't good enough anymore.

Sour Grapes. Miller has butchered himself with his "record" and his statements that are so contrary to acceptable behavior as to completely disqualify him from public service. From hair-brained schemes for social security to thugs hauling away legitimate journalists.... Miller is a loser. Palin is simply continuing her personal feud with the Murkowskis. Get a job.....

Has any of the robots who like Palin noticed that all she evers does is attack but never offers any solutions. I don't like republicans and I don't know much about Murkowski but I get a sebse that she cares more about Alaske and its people than "I want the money" Palin. People who lack intelligence only know one way to debate and that is attack. Name one person she hasn't had a fight with? After quitting and leaving Alaska after only 2 years in office why would anyone in Alaska care what she thinks or believe she has their best interest at heart. Boggles the mind.

Oh no...everybody is shameful except for the Ballin' Palin quitter of the this year and ever year. She who quit the governorship to make a lot of money and in her SHAMEFUL mind thinks she could even be a candidate much less the president of this country. I tell you one thing even people in the hospital would jump out of bed and run to the polls to vote AGAINST HER. She really is getting increasingly paranoid , I mean because every body is out to get HER. She is so important, so everything that people have to find ways to get her. Isn't that the first stage of paranoia, I mean that you are so important everybody is thinking of nothing but you. I the republican corporate owned media, especially CNN, wasn't hanging on to her every word and drop of sweat, the country would soon be rid of her. OH OH fixed this post which will stay under moderation forever...CNN doesn't post stuff negative to their made up darling Palin or something that tells the truth about them.

  12. TSUNAMI WARNING: Expected loss of Socialist DemocRATS EXTENSIVE

Lisa Murkowski should have taken a hike after losing the primary. These politicians that think they own a seat in the Senate or House are a real problem for this country. Please get a real job for a while and then come back and try again if you wish. Murkowski's desperate attempt to cling to her seat is rather pathetic.

It sure would be nice if CNN pointed out that the rally drew only about 300 people despite the presence of the allegedly popular half-term governor. When are they going to stop slanting the news to make Palin look more powerful and popular than she is?

Palin and her family are receiving the gift of "entitlements" and don't let me count the ways. First she and her husband quit their jobs and took their horse and pony show on the road pandering to Americans to take care of them, it worked because they are entitled. Palin gets a reality show, Bristol goes dancing with the stars, Todd does nothing, Bristol baby daddy Levi gets gigs all because they are entitled. What Americans and their families need is jobs and not taking care of another man and his family who had jobs and quit, no man wants to take care of another man and his family because they feel entitled.

Correct the name in the headline ASAP: It's Murkowski, not "Murkowsi".
Or maybe you want voters to spell it incorrectly, considering she's a write-in candidate?
