Poll shows surge for O'Donnell in Delaware

(CNN) - A surprising new Senate poll in Delaware shows Republican Christine O'Donnell may be in striking distance of Democrat Chris Coons.

According to the new survey from Monmouth University, the surprise Republican nominee is only 10 points behind Coons, drawing 41 percent of the vote. In a previous Monmouth poll conducted two weeks ago, O'Donnell trailed by 19 points.

But the latest Monmouth survey differs substantially from two other recent polls, including a Farleigh Dickinson survey released Thursday that showed a 21-point advantage for Coons and a CNN/Time poll released earlier this month that indicated a 19-point lead for Coons.

The latest Monmouth poll surveyed 1,171 voters between October 25-27 and carries a sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

These are phone surveys. The only people who have unlisted ground lines anymore are old people who don't know anything about anything and are just happy to talk to anyone who gives them a call. The population of this survey is highly suspicious.

NOSPRNGIRL- its the Theads that have the Dems and Libs stirred up. Whenever you sheeple go on about taking the country back or draw Hitler mustaches on Obama you are merely repeating the spin of FIXed NEWS who has their own greed agenda. By the way wasnt Hitler a white supremicist? LMFAO at you!

Hey CNN, where's the coverage of that whack job Democrat in South Carolina that won the democratic primary without even having a computer to his name? It would seem that is on the crazy train level of O'Donnell.

As an independent voter I can honestly say that I would NEVER vote for O'Donnell or Palin. Im not a Democrat, and I haven't been brainwashed by the "liberal media." The reason I wouldn't vote for either of these people is because for all their talk about adherence to our Constitution, they simply don't seem to have a genuine understanding of the document, or how the language of it affects the lives of poeple.

It is amazing that people still support policies that undermine freedom and increase servitude to government. Wake up Delaware
elect Christine to restore Dignity and honor to our great Republic. If you don't vote for her then get in the back seat of Obama's bus and enjoy your bondage.

This isn't a game. You can't want this person to win just to "rub it in the leftists faces". Think of what you would get for that moment of pleasure. 2 years of god knows what!

this is a joke who comes up with this crap if you look at all the polls around the country it looks like they are all the same what I find interesting is that when a republican is found to do something wrong there is no change in the polls going down but for no reason at all the polls change over night for going up why is that I guess that big business even has control of the polls

Funny why Obama is going back to DE tomorrow!! HMMMM! the internal polling must be scaring someone. Now they are making out ads against the Tea Party!! This administration is a JOKE!! Have you ever heard of a president going after the citizens of his own country. He told Republicans to go to the back of the bus. We're not just Republicans we're citizens. He told and Espanic group to vote against us. their enemy. Now he's fighting the Tea Party and won't give the country back. Well we're taking back. We will cure the cancer of corruption of these Chicago gangsters and put this country back on the road to recovery, after 10 years of financial abuse.....We're taking anymore. We're going to make this country a better place for our children and their childrens children.

This is just a ploy by media outlets to keep eyes on their BS content, I am here to tell you all as a member of the Delaware electorate; unless the right steals this election there is no way this woman wins. Have any of you seen the video of her interview on WDEL radio, she has a hired goon in the studio and she is pushing him in the face of the interviewer as an implied threat that his questions are getting to hard for her to answer.
This woman is a joke and the party that gave away its chance to win this seat by taking out Castle and replacing him with this nit wit are jokers as well.

How can this happen! Canadian looking from the North, how can anyone declare their vote for this woman. Oh I know, when I get phone calls from polls, I always respond I will vote for the party that I don't vote for and I am not the only one! Polls are not etched in stone.

I am willing to bet you don’t live in Delaware for if you did you would know that your hero Christine won with maybe 16% of the registered Republican electorate. She won because south of the C&D canal is a large population that still lives in the 1950’s and have an 8th grade education, probably a group you can identify with very intimately
