Giuliani: I think Palin will run for president

(CNN) - Former New York City mayor and Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he believes Sarah Palin will launch a bid for president in 2012.

"My guess is yes – she's going to run for president," Giuliani told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "She sounds to me like somebody who's running for president."

Giuliani predicted as many as 15 GOP contenders may seek the Republican Party nomination.

The former mayor said Republicans should "put off the [2012 presidential] election" and "try to accomplish a few things first," citing a potential compromise on the extension of tax cuts set to expire at the end of the year.

Giuliani praised the Obama administration's homeland security apparatus in the wake of a series of parcel interceptions that appear to have thwarted an attack planned by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

But, he said the White House lost credibility after law enforcement officials detained the so-called "underwear bomber" and processed him as a domestic criminal on Christmas Day in 2009.

"There's no reason to treat him like a domestic criminal," Giuliani said. "He's a war criminal. If these people had pulled off this attack, would we treat them as domestic criminals?"

The interview aired on CNN's The Situation Room.

Rudy is about as out of touch as ever and politically stupid as ever. I can't believe he didn't mention 9-11 at least 8 times. The Christmas bomber is very far from people's minds at this point. Trying to paint Obama as weak on terrorism is just lame, given his record so far. And trying to paint Palin as someone even interested in the incredibly hard work demanded of a presidential candidate, let alone an actual President, shows that he's either not watching, or he is being paid by Sarah to keep this BS stirring. You don't quit during your term as governor of Alaska, then run for POTUS. Rudy, go back to quietly racking up tens of millions running security firm birthed by 9-11, which you have exploited well.

I watched Rudy's interview and am wondering how he kept a straight face when he said that Palin is as qualified as Obama to be president. Hmmm.....Let's see: Lawyer vs. Hockey mom. Sounds like a bad disney movie. Come on Rudy, let us know when we can expect to hear the "pop." You know? The sound of you pulling your head out?

The thought of Sarah Palin anywhere near the presidency is a scary one indeed.

Please run, Sarah. I can't lose. Your presidency would be a laugh a minute and the best fun of my life.

I was wondering where today's Sarah Palin newsflash was. Kind of quiet from a woman who hates to be quiet, and from a news agency that constantly beats us over the head with her insipid blather.

Here is the real headline: "Sarah Palin Backs a Lot of Losers" Let's face it, this election was also a referendum on Palin, and her choices flopped in an ugly way on a night when Americans were voting in her general direction anyway. Palin wannabees O'Donnell and Angle crashed and burned, and Palin's Alaska voted in her enemy, Lisa Murkowski.

But dontchaknow that looney righty-whiteys will continue to adore her, bless her little heart.

Palin is there for comic relief. Just wait till the first debate - no earphones, no writing on palm. Just have to use the brain - ooops, disqualified. She is so dumb she doesn;t realize she's dumb. What does that say about her supporters? Sad.

Do you think between now and 2012 Sarah will at least go back and get a college degree -and I don't mean an honorary degree. Can you imagine the first female president and the first president that couldn't even make it through college? YIPEE! Can't wait

Oh please please please let Palin run for President in 2012! If nothing more, let her earn her acronym:

PALIN – Proving America Loves Its Nuts!

Put that in your Cracker Jacks!

I hope that Guiliani is wrong and that Sarah Palin has sense enough not to run. She is not qualified to be POTUS. The very notion of Sarah Palin running for president is absurd and very frightening. She is not well read, well travelled nor is she analytical. She lacks political savy and is not very knowledgeable about domestic or foriegn policy.

Why would she want to run for president when she could make so much more money on Fox News and as a paid speaker? She'd also have the added benefit of not having to do 1/10 the amount of work that a real politician does. My prediction: She'll downward spiral into some sort of pitiful Jerry Springer gig on cable.
