Giuliani: I think Palin will run for president

(CNN) - Former New York City mayor and Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he believes Sarah Palin will launch a bid for president in 2012.

"My guess is yes – she's going to run for president," Giuliani told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "She sounds to me like somebody who's running for president."

Giuliani predicted as many as 15 GOP contenders may seek the Republican Party nomination.

The former mayor said Republicans should "put off the [2012 presidential] election" and "try to accomplish a few things first," citing a potential compromise on the extension of tax cuts set to expire at the end of the year.

Giuliani praised the Obama administration's homeland security apparatus in the wake of a series of parcel interceptions that appear to have thwarted an attack planned by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

But, he said the White House lost credibility after law enforcement officials detained the so-called "underwear bomber" and processed him as a domestic criminal on Christmas Day in 2009.

"There's no reason to treat him like a domestic criminal," Giuliani said. "He's a war criminal. If these people had pulled off this attack, would we treat them as domestic criminals?"

The interview aired on CNN's The Situation Room.

Ms. Palin may be running for president. Isn't she allowed to do so?
Whether or nor Sarah Palin is ever elected to be our president, she certainly has had a strong influence on American politics.
I think it has been a very positive influence, and we proved yesterday that her influence has been a popular one.

Palin needs to "read" the backgrounds of 11 women presidents around the World as well as their husbands and understand they got there through education(masters, doctoriates, lawyers, economics, etc. as well as working in their degreed professions). She won't because she and her family are too lazy to read, study and work and expect Americans to continue to give and support she and her family, she likes the gravy train. She's an embarrassment to the education of our children while setting a poor example for her own.

rudy, rudy, rudy (the 9/11 mayor of NY who told an audience on TV that we were never attacked durimg the bush administration) and who wanted the same kind of justice for detainees in Gitmo.
That rudi? At least he didn't go real stupid and endorsed the half term as presidential material.
Seems nobody is doing it anymore and after the failed bid in AK for miller, good luck!!! She's a trojan horse alright.

I have no doubt, she could do a better job than the current holder of the White House.

Let's see, Sarah Palin quits her Alaska job so she can raise tons of cash from fools willing to pay it so she can get a warchest started; she goes out on the road campaigning for others all over the country for exposure and hints like the none-to-coy-duck she is that she might run and Rudy sticks his neck out in light of all the overwhelming evidence and predicts that this egomaniac will run?

Way to make the tough calls, Rudy!!!

I'm sure people will be stupid enough to vote this monkey (I.e Palin) as a President. After last night, nothing surprises me anymore.

So the "underwear" bomber should have been thrown in Gitmo with being charged and then held indefinitely without trial?
I don't understand why some people feel our system of justice cannot handle these criminals?
After all the people who bombed the World Trade Center the first time are doing life in prison after being charged, tried and convicted.
Why do some doubt our system of justice?

Let's hope not. Palin as the Republican nominee insures four more years of Obama. She needs to do what is best for the country, not herself. She is not electable, but she can be a tremendous force for the conservative cause if she will embrace a lesser role.

Here are some of the best things to happen to the Democrats between now and 2012: Tea Partiers demand that Michelle Bachmann become Speaker of the House, she wants it and it can happen, the Republicans start governing and cutting and investigating, cutting government jobs etc and they nominate Sarah Palin to run for president. The Democrats will be back in complete control in 2012.

Where do I sign up to campaign for her? I would love to see that train wreck be the nominee of the GOP. Can Sharon Angle or Christine O'Donnell be her running mate? How about Carl Paladino? Joe the Plumber?

If by some terrible chance, Palin becomes the GOP's 2012 presidential candidate, it will hand a second term to Obama. Our nation can not tolerate or withstand another idiot in the White House. Many would believe, better to keep the idiot we know than replace him with an air-head!

After the shalacking that the Dems just got based on 18 months of recovery over 8 years of blowing up America with Bush / Rove policies please dear god let Sarah run so that the Dems can win and try to stay on track! She will not have a chance to win over America. Surely we are not that crazy as a nation.

The people in the country were stupid enough to stay home from the polls and the crazy ones who did show up put the exact same people in charge who created this mess in the first place. But there is absolutely positively no way that they are crazy enough to even make Palin a candidate much less vote for her for president. She makes Georgie boy look intelligent.

And I think white America will elect her. And then I think they will hate her, just like they do every other person they elect if things don't go their way.
