Just Called: Dem wins Oregon Governor's Race

(CNN) - Democrat John Kitzhaber has defeated Republican Chris Dudley in the Oregon Governor's Race, leaving four gubernatorial races yet to be decided – Connecticut, Illinois, Minnesota, and Vermont.

In Vermont, the Republican candidate has conceded defeat, but if the Democratic candidate does not get 50 percent, the next governor is chosen by the state legislature.

In 2011, there will be at least 29 Republican governors and at least 16 Democratic governors. (The Vermont Democrat would make at least 17.)

In Tuesday's election, 11 Democratic gubernatorial seats were won by a Republican candidate (Iowa, Kansas, Ohio, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Wyoming). Two Republican gubernatorial seats were won by a Democratic candidate (California and Hawaii)

OUR COUNTRY IS ON A DESTRUCTION PATH. And not only because of Pres. Obama. The parties do not want to work together to improve America. The parties are only interested in control. Republicans stating Priority #1 is to make Pres. Obama a 1 term president. I thought Priority #1 was to get people employed and the housing market. This is not a game. The democrats will act no better when there is a Republican president. The disrespect will be at an all time time. How does that make America better!??!?!?!?!?!

We have a GOP governor in LA. He spends more time campaigning for his breathern politician in other states than in his own POOR–BUDGET STRAPPED-OIL INFESTED surroundings of LA.

LA is in pitifully shape. He berated the last ogvernor and got elected on the mythical illusion that he could put LA on fiscally solid ground.. HA!!

The first thing he did was to do away with a tax break that benefited the working class and the poor.
Second, he let Sen Landrieu take the heat and be called a whore by his GOP minions for aquiring additional funds for Medicade-althought it was at his bequest
Third-he goes around galavanting around the country fundraising' instead of governing-
He blasts government for all of the ills and blamed the BP oil mess on Washington-yet he went licking up to DC for funds so he could build berms that wold be mysterious for the coast and let BP off the hook
Cut funding for education-although he was afforded a damn good one
He sides with his GOP pals about health care reform-REMINDER his child has a pre existing condition-heart problem
