Biden sought Olbermann's advice on anger
(CNN) - MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, suspended indefinitely Friday for donating to Democratic candidates for office, said in an interview two days before his suspension that Vice President Joe Biden once sought his advice.
“I once had a conversation with the man who is now the vice president when he was still in the Senate, who asked me for advice about how to turn anger into righteous inspiration,” Olbermann said in an interview with the New York Times Magazine.
Olbermann added, “He [Biden] said, ‘I just come across like I’m angry and out of control, and you seem to focus it and make it look useful and expressive.’’’
Also noteworthy, Olbermann expressed surprise with Jon Stewart’s criticism of him during the Rally for Sanity.
“I saw that. I was sitting at home, with my notebooks for the election, in that Saturday haze that anybody who does five shows [a week] is still in until the middle of the afternoon on Saturday," Olbermann said in the interview. "I was thinking: That’s odd. I wouldn’t think of myself in those terms. Why is my videotape there?”
Olbermaann was not suspended for donating to candidates but for donating to candidates without telling his employer first. Apparently he broke the rules of his contract. It is hilarious listening and reading comments from liberals who were the very ones who applauded Juan Williams being fired and not standing up for his rights because they didn't like the fact that he appeared on Fox. If Olbermann was supposed to inform others before donating and he did not do so, then he did not uphold his contract and has earned the reprimiand and suspension. For democrats to cry otherwise is hypocritical and shows they want rules followed by others but they don't want to follow rules when it applies to them.
Biden seeking advice from a nut job like Olbermann. If there were any doubts before there shouldn't be any now....Biden is a real looney tune.

I am very upset about Keith Obermann's suspension from HIS MSNBC program, COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OBERMANN!I watched half the show tonight until a tepid s tatement from whoever the "guest" host was.I also compiled a list of advertisers, whom I shall write to in reference to their ads programed –WITH NO KEITH OBERMANN.For those who do not appreciate Mr. Obermann's intellect, wit , candor and compassion–Go watch Faux News!
neither are worth commentary. However, it is worth noting Stewart had Cat Stevens as guess at the rally. The man is an Islamic terrorist supporter. Cat Syevens said he thought Salmon Rushdie should be killed. Olbermann is one of the most angry people I have seen on tv and is blinded by it. Hence, he's found a new seat at home. Biden looks to interesting people!

This is the most ridiculous issue this year! Keith obberman is not unbiased in his reporting- he takes on the Republican party constantly. Whu then, is private citizen, Keith Obberman, being punished for what he did openly and legally?
Is thhis the face of the "new America" ? Getting suspended for private political actions is not part of the Constitution I live under.
Hope the suspension isn't too long. Probably shouldn't have done that. Even though your mediocre donations paled in the amount Murdoch and his curmundrons (?) at FOX gave. And you don't see them getting reprimanded. I still believe you have free speech behind you. good luck and hurry back.

I think it is shameful and unconstitutional for any media company to suspend a person for contributing money where he wishes politically (within the federal law of course), even though I know his employment contract bars that as do a lot of other media company's place similar and other restrictions on employees.
These are all in my opinion what In many countries would be considerd Illegal " Contracts in restraint of trade" which apply to unfair conditions imposed on an individuals ability to work. The point is analogous to an employer who tries to prevent and employee working for a competitor for more that 12 months after leaving.. illegal, in some places it's 6 months!

maybe if you had performed your job as a protray of the news without basis even your crics would jump to your side to defend you - ala juan williams. its okay to be liberal and be in the news but acknowledge it and do not delude yourself that you are biased. its okay to present the liberal side just don't use personal attacks, lies and mis information to do it. when the facts and truth point to one direction acknowledge it don't deny or ignore it. use this as a learning experience and come back better for it - have more integrity just ask tiger woods the pain he had to endure to learn duty, honor and integrity are not false ideals

I write this on cnn news cause I can trust them but this is to Phil Griffin of Msnbc you may make the rules, but I guess your rules also decide what a man(keith) can do or not do with it after all you must of forgot he earn it.
