From 'Fire Pelosi' to 'Hire Pelosi'
(CNN) - The midterm elections may be over, but the political rhetoric is still alive and well.
A sign went up on the door of the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C., Friday that reads "Hire Pelosi" in large white letters against a red background.
Only a few days ago it was the RNC that used "Fire Pelosi" as a campaign slogan plastered across a traveling bus.
But now that Pelosi is officially running for Minority Leader in the House and the GOP has gained control of the House, Republicans seem to think it's in their best interest for her to remain in control.
"With the elections past, the Republican National Committee has changed a central campaign message," a statement from the RNC said. "No longer will we be pushing a Fire Pelosi message … the RNC has a new message targeted to Congressional Democrats – HIRE PELOSI!"
The Democratic National Committee did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

This will be one of the biiggest mistakes the GOP can make after only being in charge less than a week. I am sick and tired of both Democrats and Republicans. All they want is power for themselves and looking down on everyone they come in contact. None of them have ever had to work a hard days work and most were born with the silver spoon in their mouths. So how in the world can they know what has to be done in these United States. Most of them drank and bonged their way through Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Georgetown, Bucknell and all the other Preppy Colleges. We don't have one real man in the congress and I'm not sure what kind of women are there with them. None of them will stand up for the American Citiizen. Give me the old days when congressmen actually done something for the United States instead of just trying to get Peace in the mid-east.
That's really "Christian" of them to do. I don't care for Pelosi at all and I think she needs to get out and stay out of politics. But they don't need to rub it in the Democrat's face. That's really childish of them. Good job America for putting these people in power. I don't think we are going to gain much ground the next couple years. I guess since we aren't, the Democrats should be just as childish as the Republicans and put up a sign that says "Hire Palin!". Good job RNC for acting so mature...
Republicans are the last people whose opinion should matter in deciding who will be the leader of the Democratic caucus...you have the majority now why does it matter who they select you can do whatever you want right?
adopting the tactics of the dumocrats in order to win is not what the people of this country want - how about acting like grownups and addressing the socialistic policies of obama and the democrats. personal attacks are never warranted be they from the left or the right
Well thank you, I think we will. Since she did such a superb job the last time why not? She is a fighter and very effective and you know it. So if all you have are cute slogans I would be afraid. You are going to need a lot more to get past Nancy and don't forget you also have Reid. President Obama is there with his handy pen too.
If the Democrats stick with Nancy Pelosi they deserve what they get.
That's what they're spending your money on people. Just like a lunchroom bully trying to gloat and pick on the smart kid when he's down.

We fired her as speaker of the house, but we would love for her to continue to get media coverage as minority leader.
Her and Reid (as if you didn't know) were prime reasons for the republican tidal wave that swept Washington on Nov. 2.

now that is truly childish. Its politics, not baseball. Do you get it republicans? Take off your team uniform, put down your bats, and actually do something to help the country. Because as far as I'm concerned, so far I'll still be voting D next time round.
It is definitely in the Republican interest to keep Pelosi as minority leader. She is the face we hate.
Looks like they really don't want Pelosi or they would not be commenting. They seem to be hoping that Democrats will not "hire" her because they think Republicans want her. Everything Obama wanted passed the House. She is good at getting support for her side and Republicans don't like that.
If this is the first thing the Republicans can think of after gaining a majority in the House then in 2012 we should send the children out of the house to play somewhere else. No wonder they call it the Democrat and Republican "PARTY".
ROFL! Having Pelosi in charge of anything is always a recipe for disaster! YES! PLEASE elect her minority leader! After the wonderful pounding we gave the dims, I look forward to bigger gains in 2012. With Pelosi at the helm, we are sure to pick up even more seats. It looks like the American public is finally seeing the demonrats for what they are; a plague.

It helps Republicans if the Dems continue to keep the same people in place that the American people see as getting them into this mess. Thats why Obama and Dems bring up Bush. This is a test for the Dems to show if they learned anything. I say no they have not and will put Pelosi in as Minority Leader. If they were smart they would put someone else in at the front but they don't see it that way and she will be a constant reminder of failure.
Pelosi says she has nothing to apologize for?? How about for bankrupting the country with trillions of dollars in new debt and for forcing a health care plan on the public the people did not want that is increasing the price Americans who have health insurance, who work hard and play by the rules will have to pay for their insurance?
Yup! Hire her and fire Boner Boehner, the man with no personality!
