Limbaugh blasts 'racist Democrats'

(CNN) - Rush Limbaugh injected racism into the Democratic leadership battle in the House.

On Thursday the conservative radio host blamed "racist Democrats" for trying to push Rep. James Clyburn to "the back of the bus."

Clyburn, an African American is running against Maryland Democratic Rep. Steny Hoyer for the position of House minority whip.

"Steny Hoyer and Clyburn, Hoyer wanting Clyburn to go back to the back of the bus, leadership battle," Limbaugh said. "The white racist leadership of the Democrat Party is trying to ace out Clyburn."

Limbaugh continued down his metaphorical road.

"The way this can all be worked out, Clyburn's new position: Driving Miss Nancy," Limbaugh said. "He gets to keep the car. He gets to go everywhere she goes, parties and everything else. He's not in the back of the bus. He's in the driver's seat, and she's in the back of the car being chauffeured. Solved problem."

Currently, Hoyer is the majority leader and Clyburn is the majority whip, which is also the number three spot in the Democratic leadership. But with Republican gains in the House, Nancy Pelosi will lose her speaker post and now plans to run for the minority leader position. Therefore, Hoyer and Clyburn, who are currently number two and three respectively in leadership are left vying for the number two spot.

It just amazes me that people still listen to this loser. He is not a newscaster; he is a radio host who supports a gop rightwing agenda.

    This is pathetic.

Go dust off the footage of the 2008 campaign and see how pathetic Rush’s accusations are. It seems like just yesterday that Palin was giving away a free T-shirt and hot dog for every cross burned at her rallies.

Republicans accusing anyone of racism are like Nazi Collaborators complaining of being mistreated after Liberation.
“Please stop hitting us, we’re human beings too.”

BTW, if you compare the DEM with the gop leadership, you will see that there are whole lot more minorities and women represented on the DEM side of aisle in congress. The gop temporary take over has actually reduced the number of women in congress. talking about going back in time.

Rush seems to think he's good at stirring up hate & discontent. And writing fiction.

Maybe someone will take him seriously, and not laugh. Nah.

Ah yes, the old "I'm not a racist, you're the racist!" ploy. Commonly found in elementary school playgrounds, this childish little tactic has seen great play by right-wing whacks as a way to counter uncomfortable criticisms. Sadly enough, much of the nation has an intellect at the elementary school level, so it is effective amongst the dingbats who propagandize themselves daily with blubbermouth radio howlers.

Have you ever noticed that imbaugh, Beck, Rove and Cheney all have an uncanny resemblance to Porky Pig? That's an insult to Porky Pig, of course, and I apologize to him.

Rush LImbaugh is awesome. Wow. I love this guy. He is so insightful, caring, and makes critical thinking a hallmark of his show. He brings fresh, nonbiased views to the forefront. He is a true patriot. I hope the tea partiers truly appreciate what an asset he is to their movement. He calls communist like he sees them and I loved when he said earlier that he hopes that "obama fails." So funny.

I look at this from a different angle! Clyburn has the backing of the CBC. I wonder why? Here is a hint: it starts with the letter R! Funny how Hoyer was good enough as the #2 for the CBC, that is until Clyburn wanted the post!

Pelosi is like a living "Waterloo" for the Democrats. Poor Obama is in the Elba of Asia right now.

Sure, liberals deserve to be tweaked, and worse, for their infantile obsession with finding "racists" under every bed, and so-called conservatives should be ashamed for running for cover whenever the "R" word is unholstered. But this comment of Limbaugh's is pretty silly. It just keeps the "you're a racist - no, you're a racist" merry-go-round spinning.

The first move, when despotic regimes want to reinvent themselves, is to start a campaign to blame the other side. Rinse, and repeat, over and over again. Sure, some democrats are probably racist, but it's a little beside the point. Conservatives, especially southerners, have been well documented as being true racists for a long, long time now, but if you repeat something often enough some people will just believe it, especially when it serves their purposes when it comes to taking back control. The OTHER guy is the bad one. We've been good, pious, well meaning people all along. A–mazing.

    Dear CNN,
When...oh, WHEN...will you stop positioning the opinions of radio pundits, from either side of the too-wide chasm, as news? If, as has been suggested by more and more people lately, there is an unmendable divide between the parties, it is fueled by the loudest voices, which inevitably come from the furthest to either side of the center. And MANY of these voices are people, such as Limbaugh, who have the most to gain by creating division and controversy, to keep the ratings up and the coffers filled. And, frankly, I am finding it harder and harder to consider news sources such as CNN "legitimate" when it's obvious that you are most interested in controversary as well, as it serves to driver readership to your site, which translates into revenue. These people have their own sources of dissemination for their vitriol...stop validating their opinions by making it "news" here.

Truly Orwellian for Limbaugh to call anyone a racist. He has contributed more to national disunity than anybody.

Only Rush could attempt to paint the party with the 1st black president as racist. But then, when you take 40 oxycodones a day for years, it tends to affect your brain. Interested in what Rush feels about the GOP and Michael Steele – seems there's quite a few who want to "throw him to the back of the bus".

It doesn't appear that Gabriella listen to what he said or again maybe this is that "selective" hearing that the left seems to be born with. Hey folks listen to the whole comment if you get a chance it is quite different. I think this is just a case of childish story telling.

Rush Limburger is a freak who will do whatever it takes to get his minions riled up. Those clowns will jump at his words and start bashing Dems as racists even though most of them have no idea as to which one of the people involved is actually the black guy. Long live the Tea Party and God help this country. Oh wait, God has given up on the country because of the hatred spewed by the likes of Rush, Hannity, Palin and all of the other intolerants.

Amazing! If it hadn't been for the rise of Clear Channel, Rush Limbaugh would have eked out a living driving a catering truck, barely make rent on a studio apartment, and getting the crap kicked out of himself at least twice a month (or wound up in a dumpster somewhere) for being an uncontrollable loudmouth! Where is the real dialog that is needed to move America forward? It is not on Clear Channel or Fox.
