Deal ends Democratic leadership fights

(CNN) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has struck a deal that ends the leadership fight for the number two slot in the new House minority, multiple senior Democratic sources tell CNN.

Under the compromise, Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer, the current House majority leader will become the Democratic whip, which will be the number two spot in the new Democratic minority.

This was an obvious solution from the outset. Anyone thinking Clyburn would not have a seat at the table was dreaming.

  2. Dems united to fight!

Democrats have to stay focus this "Lame Duck" session. To do list: Pass a "JOBS" Bill with a plan to get low skilled workers back to work. No Jobs, no votes! Don't blow it you still have the majority pass the Rebuild America Bill, R&D Bill, Depreciation Deductiable Bill and join that with a Small Business "Hire for Work" jobs plan. Democrats you have to cover all bases and move fast for it to take full effect. Put America back to work or bust!

Excellent, with Nancy Pelosi in denial that the outcome of the 2012 elections had anything to do with her and Obozo denying it also. The stage is set for an even bigger victory by the Republicans in 2012. Isn't it wonderful how democrat liberals can not take or admit responsibility for anything. It is one of their most endearing traits and such a wonderful weakness to exploit.

This woman is so power hungry that she won't admit that she was one of the main reasons the democrats lost so bad. Just put her back in a leadership role and watch the 2012 elections for another landslide for republicans. She needs to just shut up and leave the stage for her parties sake but she won't because she's all about her and nothing else.

Democrats still have not learned...get Pelosi. Nobody likes her and the public will now see her face all the time. There is a reason you don't see George Bush with Republicans...the majority of the public doesn't like him. The public views Pelosi as a Liberal and a spender and a failed congress. What are congressional democrats thinking??!!

We all agree that if this were conservative infighting, the press would simply play the race card.

Big surprise, I recall Steny Hoyer rolling up the HC Bill nice and tight so Nancy Pelousy could stuff it right down America's gullet! Remember these infamous words from the top Democratic leadership, "We must pass it first before we can read it to know what is in it." Unbelievable if that is what they think leadership equates to...

Go away Rep Pelosi. You had your opportunity and the results show. Let's not treat Congress like the NFL where losing head coaches move to another team only to produce the same results. Please consider the defintion of insanity: doing the same exact experiment with the same exact inputs expecting a different result.

Nancy Pelosi was told not to run for the Minority Whip because she will not win. This is due to all the mistakes she made and cost the Demarcates the Majority in the House. The House Demarcates came to a conclution that Nancy Pelosi is a liability not an assest. Nancy was told to just fill out her term and just "Fade Away". Hey Nancy it's time to turn off the lights the party's over.

Awesome. Lots of Republicans happy with this news!
She's like Darth Vader to conservatives and many independants.
Even with her teeth pulled, she wont be able to keep her mouth shut.
With her in the mix 2012 is in the bag for the Republicans.
