Thomas' wife steps down from conservative group

(CNN) - Virginia Thomas, a conservative political activist and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas announced she will be stepping down as head of Liberty Central, a grassroots political organization she founded a year ago, and which has links to the Tea Party Movement.

The decision was announced by the Virginia-based group's public relations firm.

"Ginni" Thomas had made headlines last month when she admitted calling and leaving a message on Anita Hill's phone messaging system. Hill had accused then-federal Judge Thomas of sexual harassment, and her testimony was at the center of his contentious 1991 confirmation to the high court.

It's a shame the supreme court which is supposed to interpret laws has turned out to be a political tool!!

This is at least one good decision she has made although "stepping down" doesn't mean she will be stepping away.

I have read that Ginny Thomas also donated over $500,000 to the Tea Party.

How many of you know that, in ADDITION to Anita Hill, another woman has come forward and validated that Clarence Thomas, you know the conservative, family values man, is a PORNOGRAPHY conneisuer ... not that there is anything wrong with that.

This revelation does however, provide evidence that Ms. Hill was telling the truth about Clarence Thomas' behavior.

As such, he does not deserve a seat on the Supreme Court, Republican Senators should have never backed him, and he should either resign or face IMPEACHMENT.

now let's investigate the Justice and his contacts with his wife's group, Rush Limbaugh, the Koch Brothers, and let's impeach him. Oops, the trial would be held in the soon-to-be Republican House of Representatives! Let the dirt begin! You want to impeach Obama, and apparently any Democrat that gets elected President, we'll impeach your buddies on the high court. At least then we'll get to count all the votes in an election, and I don't mean the ones that can't spell Murkowski.

She should never have been allowed to be that involved because of possible influences on her husband, a member of the Supreme Court.

Gee...if stability, intellect, and good judgment were her downfall...imagine what would happen if the same standards were applied to her husband.
