Trump under 'pressure' for 2012 run

(CNN) - Donald Trump says he's recently received more pressure than ever before to run for president, but he'd rather not throw his name in the ring.

"I love this country and I have had tremendous pressure over the years for me to run, but I've never had it like now," Trump said on CNN's "John King, USA." "I'd rather not do it. I'd rather have somebody in there that's gonna straighten out the country."

Trump said he thinks people ask him to run because of his "instinct for business" and "instinct for people," but would only say he's thinking about a presidential run in 2012.

The real estate mogul is famous for his lavish lifestyle and reality show "The Apprentice," and is often mentioned as a potential candidate for president.

Trump is a smart and savvy business man , he makes million's doing what he does and he know's the presidency is a difficult and thankless job ! Why would you run for a job that pay's a fraction of what you make and has a multitude of pitfall's associated with it ! Smart move Donald !

Trump has a knack for people and he knows business. But he loves the spotlight too much and lacks serious political credentials. Mayor – maybe, Congressman – possibly, President – no way!

The only person who ever mentions Trump running is Trump himself. This guy's ego is pathetic. Let's see– he ran his original company into the ground & filed bankruptcy & left the creditors on the hook for mega millions; he's cheated on at least 2 wives that we know of; he sells his name for influence to any sketchy development that comes along.... yeah, sure, this is the guy we want to run for President. If he thinks anybody really wants him to run for President, I can only ask "What the hey is this guy smoking?".

  17. CNN is a Publist for wannabees!

We just now find out the Sarah Palin close adviser is has been receiving money from George Soros and Sarah Palin is on the record supporting the TARP Bailouts. CNN stop being a publist and start calling out these hypocrits! Now here comes Donald ready to spin his way as a candidate to sell more realestate, books and don't forget his reality show.

We've given a former drug mob boss. (bush1) and a former alky / baseball manager (bush 2) and a nobody who accomplished nothing prior to presidency (obama) a chance.. Why not vote for someone that has proven himself in the economic ring? Especially in a time like this.. it would only serve us right to put someone up there that knows business and not just war mongering.

    Please Donald, RUN.
Why do you resist as you do?

But you do need a makeover, especially that hair. Before you throw your name in the ring, give Lady Gaga a call and get some advice on doing something creative with your hair.

Donald, Thanks for Loving this country. I wish you would run for Prez. I've heard that you are buying foreign building material because the made in USA is junk. Why don't you do a reality show which now is the thing to do....about getting business back to the USA. Have teams that create jobs bring textiles back, bring building material back, toys, electronics etc. I have one wish i never filled. Work for Donald Trumph, man you are a good mentor/teacher.

Well, he had declared bankruptcies several times. This will make him perfect for Republicans, who know how to pile up debt (8 trillion dollar debt from the last three Republican presidents; the 2009 budget that Bush handed to Obama, which was projected to produce a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit before Obama took office, and resulted in a final 2009 deficit of 1.4 trillion).
