TRENDING: Palin won't 'waste time' on Couric
(CNN) – If Sarah Palin does run for president next year, at least one high profile journalist will be forbidden access to the former Alaska governor.
Speaking to Fox New's Sean Hannity in an interview to air Monday, Palin said she wants nothing to do with Katie Couric, the CBS Evening News anchor who's line of questioning facilitated one of the most memorable political foibles of the 2008 presidential campaign.
"As for doing an interview, though, with a reporter who already has such a bias against whatever it is that I would come out and say? Why waste my time? No," Palin told Hannity of Couric, according to excerpts obtained by Time's Mark Halperin.
"I want to help clean up the state that is so sorry today of journalism. And I have a communications degree. I studied journalism, who, what, where, when, and why of reporting," Palin continued. "I will speak to reporters who still understand that cornerstone of our democracy, that expectation that the public has for truth to be reported. And then we get to decide our own opinion based on the facts reported to us."
In a series of interviews with Couric authorized by the McCain campaign, Palin stumbled over a number of questions, most memorably when asked, "When it comes to establishing your world view…what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read?"
Palin appeared unable to name a single publication – a performance for which she was much maligned - and later said she found the question insulting, as well as emblematic of a liberal slant in the mainstream media.
"So a journalist, a reporter who is so biased and will, no doubt, spin and gin up whatever it is that I have to say to create controversy, I swear to you, I will not my waste my time with her. Or him," she told Hannity in the interview Monday.

She was asked "What do you read" and was exposed and was embarrassed because she doesn't read ANYTHING and had no answer. So to her mind that is a "got'cha" question. Yup got you to admit to the US that you are an uninformed idiot.
Look what happened to Sharon Angle when she refused to answer questions about foreign policy.
And I see it is going to happen to Sister Sara in 2012.
This may be the highest complement that Couric ever receives!

-Tell me more about your prestigious communications degree and how you earned it in less than a decade.
-Deer meat or moose meat...which is better?
-Climate scientists–Are they Nazis or just cotton-headed ninny muggins?
Personally, I'd like to ask why she says she wants her family out of the limelight, yet has her daughter go on one of the highest-rated TV shows to perform and be judged, and then has the rest of her family featured on another show on TLC.
The United States looks so very dumb with this woman having her name in print so often. Not to mention coverage of her on TV. Its actually quite embarrassing to think that anyone with intelligence would vote for someone who has come out of the wood-work because they were not vetted properly. The Republicans look like real fools with her coming out and representing them in politics. Let's hope that she is sent off to oblivion soon. What an unmitigated disaster.

Sara, good for you! Couric doesn't know the meaning of objective reporting and someone has to call her on the carpet. Worst of all, I personally think she used to be one of the most objective reporters in the USA. I guess it must be the company she keeps!
I know a lot of women have a love/hate relationship towards you. However, most of all their envy goes so deep that they are unable to control themselves.

Someone with the backbone to be a real leader would be more likely to say "I screwed up the first time, but will be better prepared the next and then I'll show this reporter who knows what."
