Meghan McCain doles out Palin advice
(CNN) - Tuesday's arrival of Sarah Palin's new book brought new criticism from her former running mate's daughter, Meghan McCain.
"The way she is running for president is either sheer genius or ultimate insanity," McCain wrote Tuesday.
This is not the first time the outspoken daughter of 2008 Republican presidential nominee, Arizona Sen. John McCain has targeted Palin.
In her book "Dirty Sexy Politics," McCain called her a "Time bomb," and likened the decision to add her to the ticket to playing roulette.
Her new column for "The Daily Beast" is also Palin-centric. She said the former Alaska governor's strategy is to, "saturate the American public until we forget that anything or anyone else exists or is even an option in 2012."
That saturation she said includes her TLC reality show, "Sarah Palin's Alaska," her daughter Bristol's run on "Dancing with the Stars" and her continuous use of social media.
"Wanna run for president?" McCain said. "Quit your job, find a hot Hollywood reality-show producer, make sure your children also appear on hit reality show."
Even though Palin hasn't officially announced a presidential run for 2012, she's clearly leaving the door open and recently said she could beat President Obama in a run for the White House.
According to a Quinnipiac survey released Monday, Obama had a 48 to 40 percent advantage over Palin in a hypothetical general election match-up. The president also held an 8-point advantage over the former Alaska governor in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll, 52 to 44 percent.

Maybe meghan should have given her dad some advice. I am not a fan of Palin but i was not a fan of maccain either. However i think palin is pretty smart. i like her ideas i just do not like her that much. maybe if mccain had done a reality show he would be prez? Why do anyone give time to meghan? she is not the brightest bulb on the christmas tree if you know what i mean. she only gets published because of her dad. then she has the nerve to talk about others using family to stay relivent.

Half Gov. Palin is a joke, plain and simple (heavy on the simple). She won't talk to the real press because they won't give her the questions in advance and they ask real questions, unlike Fox No News. Half Gov. Palin just wants to dumb down America (to her level) and it seems to be working. ugh.
@paul – you are part of what is wrong with the country., the half term did NOT hold her own. she had to call him "Joe" because she kept referring him as O'biden instead of biden. As a matter of fact she slipped at least one that I can remember.

Magan McCain is more qualifed than Palin.
Palin is more like quarter term Governor. The scond half or her half term was spent running for VP. In essense she never really governed – all she did was run up the debt before quiting.

Meghan McCain is smart enough to know that every time she mentions Sarah Palin her own ratings go up.
It is true, and political analysts have been saying this for decades: 90% of votes are based solely on name recognition. It's what got Hillary as far as she got in 2008 despite the media's constant barrage of hatred and bile against her. Palin thinks she can repeat that feat, knowing that she can get most of the votes just by having CNN parrot her name. This despite the fact that Palin is a political has-been, a loser, and a quitter! She's certainly not running on her laughable record!
Oh please, PLEASE nominate Plain in 2012! It will make it so much easier when Obama obliterates her! It will be a complete landslide for Obama!
BOB C., I don't know who you are but I think I wish I did. I haven't heard a more succinct and insightful analysis of Sarah Palin than the gentleman (I think) who so pointedly connected her behavior with the symptoms of Narcissistic Behavior Disorder. (Did I spell that right?)
How can people say Meghan has no qualifications. She is a writer with a right to her opinion just like Palin is. She probably completed college with a high GPA unlike Palin. Obama will be reelected regardless of how many wolves in sheep clothing the republicans try to push in front.

It is so strange how the people who defend Palin, don't know a thing about her. This tells everyone that they beleive the lies and Hype about this woman no matter what. Education is the key, not your local news outlet. Peopl please get a grip. This woman is as phony as they come. She is counting on the under educated people to pull her through. They better start teaching their kids to get more education instead of trying to promote Palin. In the end they will lose everything, because they are too pig headed to see the truth. This woman is definitely holding grudges like a teenager. She really needs to mature. She and her husband want to break Alaska from the lower states, which has been proven, but the faithful old , under educated folks just look over it. Meghan McCain is being groomed to take over her daddy's senate seat. She's a smart young woman who is going to be a major thorn in Palin's side.

Palin is running, but when the going gets tough, she'll pick up her millions and go home (or probably to a consulting/lobbying firm or sign up with a speakers bureau and go around the country giving speeches for $100,000 a pop).
Palin always was and always will be about herself and herself only. For all her talk about "mama grizzlies," she abandons any task – from being a mother to running a state – when it gets hard or when someone dares to question her.
Unfortunately, we reward this kind of childish, irresponsible behavior when the person is pretty or provocative. Meanwhile, our real enemies grow stronger and bolder (North Korea comes to mind – a country complete ignored during the Bush years), as they watch the U.S. political system grind to halt because of the likes of Palin and the Republicans, who only care about their own sick needs for power and money.

Fair is Fair – NOBODY is, oficially speaking, running for POTUS at the moment. Oficially speaking that is. She is keeping her name in the media, she endorses (sucessfully or not) this or that candidate, and she talks! And talks! And talks! So she makes HERSELF a target of both praise and criticism, and not just one of them.
PS: the emphasys on the 'HERSELF' word is just a reminder that SARAH PALIN is a public figure and therefore has to pay the price that ALL public figures pays when they become one. HER FAMILY IS NON-ISSUE, except if (for example) her husband comes out and says this or that about some political issue, but then we're talking about a grown-up adult. HER CHILDREN, obviously, are OFF LIMITS until they grow-up and became adults.
