Obama doesn't think about Palin

(CNN) - Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin spends a lot of time talking about President Obama, but the microphone doesn't swing both ways.

"I don't think about Sarah Palin," Obama told ABC's Barbara Walters in an interview set to air Friday.

Instead, he said he's focused on being "the best possible president," while he acknowledged Palin's lure.

"Obviously Sarah Palin has a strong base of support in the Republican Party and I respect those skills," Obama said. "But I spend most of my time right now on how I can be the best possible president."

His comments came on the same day Palin's new book "America by Heart" hit bookshelves and her daughter Bristol Palin appeared in the finale of "Dancing with the Stars."

Palin told Barbara Walters in an interview last week that she thinks she could beat Obama in the next presidential election. The hypothetical match-up has also been measured by recent polling.

According to a Quinnipiac survey released Monday, Obama had a 48 to 40 percent advantage over Palin in a hypothetical general election match-up. The president also held an 8-point advantage over the former Alaska governor in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll, 52 to 44 percent.

Obama can think. Palin can't and doesn't.

thank you Mr. President for all you have done and are trying to do for the Nation. I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving at home with your loved ones.
We wouldn't think of the half term either if the media's fascination with this moron wasn't so strong. She a useless piece of human excrement.

If Sarah runs for office in 2012 my vote is for Obama, it's that simple.

He does not really think about anything. He just relies on Andy Stern for direction and that has worked out well for the rest of us. He is the straw man for corrupt union bosses. North Korea sees this, and so does Iran. Even the eurotrash who had such high hopes for him see it now and are moving away. The only ones who don't are the deranged and drug addled.

First of all these polls are not one bit reflective of reality. Palin would never get 40% of the vote in a country wide poll, she could never surpass 20% in the real world. She has no credentials other then a bad mayor and a Governor that was filled with criminal activity for an extremely short time, lets not forget she Quit the people rather then face criminal charges for submitting fraudulent expense claims that could land an Joe Average in jail ! She is so thin skinned she would start world war 3 within the first week in the Whitehouse. The breakdown is simple and if you are a Palin supporter, you don't know the truth about her or you don't care enough about your country to look for the truth.

I really wish that no one had to think about Sarah Palin but the media seems to think this pickled-brained moron is worth reporting on. This is a one-brain-celled idiot who gets by on her looks because she doesn't have the intelligence to come in out of the rain. She's utterly delusional. She thinks she's relevant and she's only the butt (of jokes). She thinks someone as stupid as she is could go up against President Obama, a very intelligent man who has America's best interests in mind, and win? It'd be a GOP massacre of electoral votes! She'd lose even more than Mondale did when he went up against Reagan.

"Focused on being the best possible president"

You are the best possible President that the Republicans can ask for! You have presided over the single greatest defeat by your party in history due to your left leaning agenda!! If I were you I would not waste so much time in your pursuit of being the "best possible president" because it really is not working out very well for you.....

Why would the President of the United States spend time thinking about an uneducated, unethical person with no world view other than soundbites, why are so many people pushing the dumbing down of America? Does anyone care the level of ignorance on display for all the world to see, this has become embarrassing.

The news media keeps palin in the news. palin has done nothing to bge the focus of the media but the media no longer reports important news that affects the lives of the American people. Instead they focus on the dim-wit from Alaska and dancing with the stars. No wonder people have stopped watching the news.

Sarah Palin has no knowledge of the world, and little understanding of America. More importantly, she is incapable of learning about either. She does have that quality to divide us and keep us fighting each other, and that is an important GOP trait.

Thank you! Now if we could just get the media to pay no attention as well, then we could all get down to the real business of setting our country right.

The only people who "think" about Palin are the ones who idolize her (fox followers/tea-baggers, ditto-heads, lame-stream media) and send her money, which is all she cares about. And she's not alone in her world of arrogant and mostly ignorant ego maniacs.
She is the pin-up girl for the selfish and self-absorbed Americans, who thankfully are so far a minority.

Let's just suppose that he had said that he does think about Palin.
People would be criticizing him for thinking in frivolities and not in the many serious business he has on his desk.
And that's what he said, that he has more serious things to think and ponder and decide about.

Obama need to start taking her serious because he can't take the American people serious. They love drama and people will just vote for her because she keeps them entertained. We are living in a country that rationality is discarded. It's about emotions drama and conversities, we have some how left from a civilized country back to the days of instinct caveman mentality. We have no form of strategic thinking, and the ones that the people put in power to do these thinking for us are selling the people out for their own self worth. Too bad the people don't understand that every action their is a reaction, and their are a million thing some one can do to help a situation and they all can fail. Remedying a problem takes careful scrutinize analyzation, not just something is broken and because of my beliefs and values this is how we are going to fix it. We need a thinker and a problem solver in the white house not a person who stir up the people and get them angry so they start thinking unrationally.

Thank you Mr. President for not stooping to her level. Clearly he has more important issues on his plate to worry about than this ignorant woman. She needs to go home and raise her children.

Sarah has the ability to take us on the road to becoming a third world country. If we turn back our clocks to 1950, she would make a good partner with Sen. McCarthy.

Please, I don't believe it. Just like he doesn't bash Bush every chance he gets, but gives Bush no credit for the right things he did, like Bailing out the Auto companies. Obama inherited this and TARP, which he stated was needed. Obama is running scared for his decisions are not popular with the American taxpayers. Even his political party and the progressives think they may look else where for a candidate for 2012.

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, when are you going to wake up from your self-delusional dream and realize one very important fact: Americans don't like quitters. You walked out on your Alaskan constituents after being voted to office by them. You betrayed their trust and you did it for money. You quit and then tried to rationalize it to your fellow Alaskans.

I would care less if Sarah Palin had the perfect credentials to be President.

I don't vote for, or support, quitters.

President Obama is doing the right thing. Why should he focus on this nitwit. He has work to do. Sara Palin is all mouth and no substance. Looking at the lines for her book tour you really see the true picture of what and who Sarah Palin is. She is not qualified to hold any office. This woman jived her way into the Governor's office of Alaska. You can fool some people some of the time, but you can't fool them all of the time.

Good! I'm glad that someone is smart enough to not obsess over this celebrity/distraction. I would be worried if President Obama sunk to the level of the lowest common denominator in our nation.

I bet Obama inside wishes he could say what a piece of hillbilly white trash Palin is.

Don't worry Mr. President (I am an infinite supporter of you sir) when this idiot hopefully ends up as the current puppet nominee in 2012 I know you will crush her. (If she hasn't crushed herself by then).
