TSA demonstrates new pat down to hill staff

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Hoping to quell growing concerns in Congress about enhanced security procedures for airline passengers, top administration officials who oversee airport security went to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to explain the new methods and why they are needed.

The closed, nearly two-hour briefing for congressional staff members included a detailed explanation of new advanced imaging technology that has sparked outrage from some passengers because it captures an image of their bodies through their clothing. Also, Transportation Security Administration officials demonstrated the invasive pat downs required for passengers who either refuse a full body scan or who need a follow-up inspection after an image is taken.

Is TSA actually patting down a few Congressmen/women or just a TSA to TSA thing? In addition, is this the edited version, or is it the same pat down they are giving grandma?

This is not a "pat down", it is totally intrusive physical contact, with every part of the body.

Government has been patting us down for decades. The only difference when the TSA does it is that we still have our wallets.

How nice that none of our politicians will be subjected to this radiation treatment or grope down. Just us, our children, our mothers, our daughters, our grandmothers.

When are we going to get a clue and stop this madness. Just open up a Muslim inspection line and deal with the REAL PROBLEM! Don't like it? Then don't fly! Why should we continuously give up OUR rights to protect those that are tryijng to kill us?
