Palin delivers a gaffe-filled message
(CNN) - In a Thanksgiving message, Sarah Palin made fun of the president, herself and one of her favorite targets, the media.
Thursday's Facebook post came on the heels of a mistake she made on conservative Fox News anchor Glenn Beck's radio show earlier this week. She mistakenly referred to America's ally, North Korea instead of South Korea, a story many in the media covered quickly.
"It seems they couldn't resist the temptation to turn a simple one word slip-of-the-tongue of mine into a major political headline," Palin wrote. "The one word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us."
She said her gaffes receive more attention than those made by the president and vice president. In honor of the claimed-disparity she titled the post "A Thanksgiving Message to All 57 States," a reference to a mistake President Obama made on the campaign trail in 2008.
The former Alaska governor dedicated the first paragraph of the post to almost a dozen slips of the tongue by Obama.
"I didn't have enough time to do one for Joe Biden," she wrote.
Palin also chastised the media for creating stories "out of thin air."
"Let's hope that perhaps, just maybe, they might get it right next time. When we the people are effective in holding America's free press accountable for responsible and truthful reporting, then we shall all have even more to be thankful for!"

Well, lets see. Reporting a slip of the tongue as it is said is reporting something that is true. For me, I know that the more I speak, the more likely I am to make a mistake or slip of the tongue. It might help if she just shut up and listened more.

Everybody makes mistakes; the media make too much of misstatements. The difference between Palin and President Obama is this: President Obama doesn't go on Facebook or Twitter and whine about how much pressure he's under or that everybody is making fun of him.
The more this woman whines, the more I'm convinced she can't take pressure - which was proven by the fact that she quit her job as governor when the going got too tough. She'll never run; she's got too good a thing going now raking in the dough as a professional critic with no real responsibilities.
How can anyone who collects a paycheck from Faux News complain about "the press" not being accountable and truthful?

Palin is obsessed with her resentments, her anger, her bitterness, the slights against her whether real or imagined. The last time we had a president like this is Richard Nixon. Whatever you think of his presidency, those traits consumed him, destroyed his presidency, and damaged the nation. Elect Palin and the same thing will happen. I can't imagine that Palin could occupy the White House and not use the power of the presidency to get revenge on her enemies, just like Nixon.

The media is too easy on Palin. She is the most divisive political figure we've seen in decades. She's rude, crude and the fact that she's clearly not book smart or street smart is an insult to the American people. She's the Lindsay Lohan of the Republican Party.
As the saying goes, it's not the falling off that matters but how one gets back on the horse – Palin shows the full force of her immaturity as both an individual and leader. Yes, Obama and others have made verbal slips - but they did not lash out on Facebook. And, Palin did so on a national day of thanks. Appalling.
