Palin delivers a gaffe-filled message

(CNN) - In a Thanksgiving message, Sarah Palin made fun of the president, herself and one of her favorite targets, the media.

Thursday's Facebook post came on the heels of a mistake she made on conservative Fox News anchor Glenn Beck's radio show earlier this week. She mistakenly referred to America's ally, North Korea instead of South Korea, a story many in the media covered quickly.

"It seems they couldn't resist the temptation to turn a simple one word slip-of-the-tongue of mine into a major political headline," Palin wrote. "The one word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us."

She said her gaffes receive more attention than those made by the president and vice president. In honor of the claimed-disparity she titled the post "A Thanksgiving Message to All 57 States," a reference to a mistake President Obama made on the campaign trail in 2008.

The former Alaska governor dedicated the first paragraph of the post to almost a dozen slips of the tongue by Obama.

"I didn't have enough time to do one for Joe Biden," she wrote.

Palin also chastised the media for creating stories "out of thin air."

"Let's hope that perhaps, just maybe, they might get it right next time. When we the people are effective in holding America's free press accountable for responsible and truthful reporting, then we shall all have even more to be thankful for!"

Blame everyone else. It's never her fault. That's what conservatives want in a leader? Sarah Palin makes a mistake and must point fingers everywhere she can so she doesn't have to own her error. A simple one word slip? Would she do the same if she referred to the Soviet Union today?

This is one of the primary reasons Sarah Palin is so disliked. Yes, there are concrete reasons, not just emotional dislike. Mrs. Palin never takes responsibility for her mistakes. Case in point, she trashed Katie Couric for asking a benign 'small talk' type of question about what publications she reads to keep up on current events. That was a gottcha moment? Wow, the press corps will be accused of thousands of them if Mrs. Palin were to make it into the White House!

The difference between Obama's gaffe and Sarah's is that about 80% of the people don't doubt that Obama knows how many states there are in the USA, whereas in Sarah's case the same percentage of the people have serious doubts about whether she honestly knows the difference between North and South Korea. So why do so many people believe that Sarah is ignorant, immature, uneducated, delusional, and dumb? Is it because of the news media or because the answers and comments she has given in the past, like "death panels", "prices of food have risen significantly in the past year", "Q: Which magazines and newspapers do you read, specifically? A:All of them","Q: Which of the founding fathers is your favorite? A:All of them","Q:Which economist has the best advice to fix the economy? A:All of them", "Q: Can you name a Supreme Court decision? A: Roe v. Wade", "Q: What about another? A: You Betch, Roe v. Wade".

If Sarah Palin wants people to respect her for her ideas, wisdom, vision, and knowledge then she needs to start given interviews to news organizations where she won't get to see the questions in advance. Her argument that all news organizations except for Fox News are biased is absurd. I think it is time for Sarah to "Man Up" and stop hiding under Fox News, Facebook, and Twitter.

For the love of God. Can CNN not go one day without posting some dribble from this woman's mouth? I log onto CNN everyday to get news from around the world and the USA. Not one day goes by anymore without something about her or what she said or did. Seriously...CNN...get some news worthy topics. This brainless, uneducated woman is really not news..and she won't get elected. End of story. CNN is watched around the world and use to be "the" station to watch. Geezes, I might as well tune into Fox and listen or read their dribble. Your becoming one and the same. Do you really need ratings or something?

She should take a piece of advice I heard years ago. " It's better to be thought a fool, than open ones mouth and remove all doubt"

This from the dunce that made a point of having her ghostwriter specifically highlight a gaffe made by the flotus during campaigning in her 'book' so that she could attack the Mrs. Obama's patriotism. Palin is a whiny brat without substance nor conscience.

Sarah claims the MSM is out to get her for being a conservative, or a woman, or because she's right and the whole world is wrong. Actually, they're out to get her because she hides behind her contract with FAKES News to avoid facing them. Her communications are always one-way via speeches, Faceboook and Twitter; or in a highly supportive environment, such as Limbaugh or the Heritage Foundation. Sarah, obviously, is afraid of the MSM. Cowardice, Sarah, is not an American virtue.

Hey Sarah, If the president had made the same slip of the tongue, as you claim it was, what would ahve been your responese? Right. You are not that bright and deserve all the criticism. Besides, if you make that kind of error, God forbid the kind of mistakes you would make when talking with foreign dignitaires. You could put us in a war without knowing it. Just like Mrs. Bush said, "Stay in Alaska".

This woman lives in her own world. Holding the press "accountable"? Sounds like censorship to me. Sharon Angle had the same idea after all when she complained that the media is doing a good enough job of selling her message. Another right-wing nutcase.

Please don't underestimate this woman and don't overestimate the gulibility of the undereducated Americans. I hear people saying, she won't run because she is making too much money from her celebrity. I believe that she will run because her ego and her mouth are bigger than her brain or common sense. She actually believes her own publicity. She will rip her competition to shreds during the primary, not because of a superior intellect but instead, because she is a gutter fighter. She is a quitter and a fraud. I wouldn't want her to get close enough to breathe the air of the White House. Seriously she didn't even know the difference between North / South Korea.
