Obama tells Republicans he should have worked more with them

Washington (CNN) - A political summit between President Barack Obama and congressional leaders Tuesday yielded further talks on whether to extend Bush-era tax breaks scheduled to expire at the end of the year, as well as an acknowledgement from Obama that he needs to reach out more to Republicans.

The meeting, dubbed by some the "Slurpee summit" in reference to a campaign dig by Obama at congressional Republicans, involved the president and leaders of both parties from the House and Senate.

Bull crap. He should have stepped on and then over the republicans. They had no intention of doing anything to ease this recession – and they still don't. Their only solution is tax cuts to the wealthy that will be added to the deficit have no positive effect on the economy. The republicans aren't at all serious about deficit reduction.

Mr. President PLEASE stop the bending over and kissing these Republican's backsides. Unless what was sent out in the mediia was wrong everytime you did try to work with the GOP the only answer you got was NO! These folks came right out saying they wanted you to fail..they were not going to work with you and so far the only thing they have agreed with you on was sending more of our men and women into war. Bill Clinton would have NEVER done anything like this and I bet Hillary would not have either. If you are going to keep allowing the GOP, who has little to NO respect for you, keep treating you like this my vote for you in2012 will be history. If you're trying to get into the good graces of FoxNews that ain't working either.

"Obama acknowledged that he should have reached out more to Republicans in his first two years in office"

Gee, ya think? Here's a clue, Obama. The majority of the American people were telling you loud and clear that they didn't agree with the direction you were taking the country. Just look at your pathetic approval ratings. And we're supposed to believe you now? Yeah, right – just like we're going to believe the dude on death row who says he "found God". Taking the house in 2010 was the first message sent. Taking the White House in 2012 will be the second. Maybe that will convince you.

What a picture…the stonewall trio of:

    1. “It’s Not 1950? I'm an old white man”,
    2. “I’m a working class patriot so here’s Bush 2.0 in a nice folder – Orange Boner”
    3. “Creepy Pasty Pervert – I can finally see a woman nekkid because the GOP won the house with absolutely no ideas as usual”.

It’s as if they’re all saying in unison: “It’s a repeat of our failed GOP agenda or the highway and the poor whites who blindly vote Republican will never even know that we don’t’ care about them…”

And then he announces that he may have to delay his Hawaiian vacation to work with them. I don't know how he can take going a week without a vacation. I have not had one all year, but this incompetent, inept, union toady has had lots of them. What does he need a vacation from? He has done absolutely nothing for the taxpayers. He has given the union a lot of goodies and those who don't work and pay taxes have certainly benefitted from his time in office, but for those of us who acutally work, pay taxes and assume personal responsibility for our lives, he hasn't done squat except send himself and his family on these dream vacations.

All you party can do is spend and tax the people who provide jobs to us.
