(CNN) - A senior administration official confirms that President Obama will not be allowing new drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico for at least seven years. This is a result of the BP oil spill.
The official said Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will hold a call on this news at 1:30pm today.
What is it Ross Perot used to say, "That huge sucking sound is jobs flowiing out of the country."
I'm sure this is what Obama wants ,our country more dependant on foreign oil.No wonder we have high unemployment.
I work on an oil rig and this too much. All this is going to do is put more people out of work. They're gonna send the rigs overseas where we can't go and then they lay us all off. Then the small towns that depend on business the oil field brings are in trouble. I'm tired of all this crap!!! If your gonna take away our jobs and puts us out on the street how can we ever move forward!!! I've been laid off before and it was not fun at all but I managed but this right here is a slap in the face to a lot of the people that work in the Gulf. Thanks a lot Mr. President and also BP. Thanks!!
Good – ANWR is looking better and better.
