Obama predicts success for tax deal

WASHINGTON (CNN) - President Barack Obama said Friday he's confident that Congress will pass a compromise tax package despite the objections of House Democrats.

"Nobody - Democrat or Republican - wants to see people's paychecks smaller on Jan. 1 because Congress didn't act," Obama said in an interview with National Public Radio.

The GOP should not give an inch. Two things we have learned from this is there is a reason there was a modern record of 63 seats taken in November and Peloi and company are not going to moderate for Obama. This is going to make it hard for him to pull a Clinton. If this deal goes sour and taxes go up people sure aren't going to scream at the GOP. It will be that Obama is too incompetent to deliver his own party – and as my kids say thats going to leave a mark.

The dumbocraps are trying to add stuff to the deal that Obummie and the repubs made. If one thing is changed I hope the repubs walk away from the deal. We don't need to add to the deficit. Let everyone's taxes go up !!!!

Again – that can be easily prevented with a "DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING UNTIL YOU GET THE GREEN LIGHT"... Those raises in TAX CUTS are NOTHING but a program that STARTS when you tell it to... I am a Sr. Programmer Analyst and know that for a fact!! The ONLY people that are "currently" suffering now and will suffer in the future are the "UNEMPLOYED"!!!

So, I am sure it will get passed and once this is OVER – we will follow Sarah Palin's advice to RALLY BEHIND Paul Ryan (don't get me wrong, I truly believe that Paul Ryan has a lot more brains than the PA'IN but he ONLY has brains now because SARAH said so!!!)

Let's continue to STICK WITH our current leader, President Obama, as he BATTLES the POLITICAL FRONT with too far left and too far right sides against him!!

Go ahead, dems... shoot down the compromise. Corporations will reduce cash compensation and increase stock grants and options to their employees. Meanwhile, they'll take the cash and embark on stock repurchase programs, which, as a result of the law of supply and demand, will artificially inflate the stock price and thereby benefitting those who are already stockholders, i.e. the rich. So by sticking it to the rich, you'll really be just sticking it to the little guy. Congratulations!

Nobody wants to see peoples' paychecks smaller except the GOP Baggers and billionaires. They have voted against every job creating proposal and against every bill that would help 98% of us. Based on their history, the God that these haters worship is not the God Christians worship.

From what I read on other sources (FOXNews) it sounds like the kings of spending Harry Reid and good old "where is the camera" Schumer are adding on little goodies to calm the liberal democrats down. I hope the Republicans learn their lesson from this exercise, don't trust liberal democrats to make a deal and definitely don't trust that idiot in the White House. Democrat liberals thew a tantrum and they will benefit the corrupt union bosses and their drug addicted, entitled, non working, non taxpaying constituents at the expense of those who actually work for a living, live responsibly and follow the rules.

  7. Democrats Class Warfare - Destroying the economy and country

The DemocRATS are now the Party of NO. NO tax relief for hard pressed Americans. NO economic boost. NO prosperity.

It is clear their leftwing ideology takes presedence over all else. They MUST continue their hate filled class warfare tactics AT ALL COSTS. Like little two year olds who drop on the dept. store floor and throw a tantrum demanding the toy now.

Thank God that in 3 short weeks a LOT of the misbehaving children will be thrown out and replaced with adults that can do what is right for this country. 2012 needs to come fast so many more of these leftist children can be sent home to their mommies.

Fair is Fair: I was wrong. There are SOME things we do agree on. This would be one of them.

You would think that Rush Limbaugh would be getting antsy that if the tax cuts expire, it will cost him $2.2 million on his $54 million income. G-Lenin Beck would have to pay almost $1.4 million on his $35 million, Sean Hannity would pay $800,000 on his $22 million, and Death Panel Palin would pay almost $500,000 on her $15 million. It brings a tear to my eye.
