Palin's e-mails remain secret – for now
(CNN) – Despite repeated requests from journalists and citizen activists, thousands of Sarah Palin's official e-mails sent while she was governor of Alaska will remain secret – at least a little while longer.
According to the Anchorage Daily News, one of former Alaska Attorney General Dan Sullivan's final acts late last month was to delay the more-than 25,000 e-mails relating to official business sent by Palin, her husband Todd, or members of her staff while she was in office.
The delay, requested by Palin's former staff, constitutes the 14th time release of the emails has been postponed.
The Alaska attorney general is permitted by law to delay the release of the e-mails if there are logistical reasons for doing so or if he has reason to believe the e-mails would reveal sensitive information that subsequently threatens the functioning of the governor's office. Palin appointed Sullivan to his post in 2009, just a month before she resigned from office.
Palin's former staff has asked for a delay until the end of next May – a timing that just might awkwardly coincide with the beginnings of a Palin presidential campaign, should the former Alaska governor decide to run.
Requests for the e-mails were first made by several news organizations in 2008 when Palin was named to the Republican presidential ticket.
A spokesperson from the Alaska governor's office was not available for comment.

EVERYTHING she says is an embarrassment. So, there is no logical and legal reason to NOT release the e-mails.
It's not like there are national secrets going on in the governor's officer of Alaska!

The only way she gets away with this stuff is her good looks, if some nut threw acid in her face it would be all over in a heartbeat.

I'd love to see her emails. I'm sure that by viewing them the public will see just how intelligent and professional she truly is. What was the ruling on the emails she had written on her hands?

This is the reason why I have sustained in years that Attorney Generals in Cities, States and Federal, must belong to the opposition Party.
We have a right to know what our government is doing. Especially since she was paid by our tax dollars.
Gee I wonder what the attention seeking X-Govenor has to hide. There wouldn't be any other reason to block the release this long after leaving office. Maybe more is to be learned about her dealings with her former brother-in-law's release from his job or maybe there is worse. If not prove it but by blocking the emails what else are we to believe?

The law couldn't have functioned properly before computers-seeking in-depth wrongful doing! How did the lawyers ever prosecute a case and win. If there has been any wrongful acts on Sarah Palin– it is how far our judicial the system wants to bring her down-news media personnel (like you) want full disclosure of her very private life, as well as, in her career!
