Alaska governor certifies Sen. Murkowski's re-election

(CNN)–Alaska's governor on Thursday certified Sen. Lisa Murkowski's re-election in November as a write-in candidate, clearing the way for Murkowski to be sworn in on time for the new congressional session that starts next week.

Gov. Sean Parnell signed the paperwork certifying Murkowski as the election winner, a spokeswoman to the governor told CNN.

The State of Alaska has officially certified that Joe Whats-his-name lost the election. That plumber guy that was cooked up by Sarah Palin was named Joe too wasn't he? So now that the Tea Partiers have been derailed by two guys named Joe maybe they'll look for some other strong name to hold high ... maybe an outdoor John kind of guy. (Snicker snicker)

She is a moderate. That is so much better than the tea-party folks who talk about the constitution but do not understand what it means. Congratulation to Senator Murkowski and the people of Alaska.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski – the "REAL" Alaskan role model for woman and girls! Congratulations!
(And you know she'll side with the Democratic Party since her own party treated her so badly.)
